any updates on secaf appeals?

Curious if anyone would like to share how long they've been waiting on a decision on their appeal to the secaf or how long their decision took. I've been waiting a year at the end of September and am desperately trying to get some sort of idea on when I can expect a decision. Thank you!!
 
I'm in the same boat you are waiting on mine since Jan. Went to peblo office for any updates come to find out she no longer works there and I have a new peblo now. She looked up my name on her computer but I wasn't even on it? So she took my number down. I would stop by and touch base with them if you get a chance.
 
I called the people above our peblo's last week and they said it is taking 13-14 months. If you want the number PM me.
 
Hello, my original Narrative summary was done in Oct 09 when my MEB started, I went to the Board in San Antonio in Jun 10 and my package went to the SAFPC Jul 10. I just heard from my Pueblo last week and was told I have to get a brand new narrative summary done by my PCM and then have it resubmitted to my case worker at the SAFPC. Apparently because they have been so far behind, the SAFPC has been requesting new Narratives to be accomplished by the member to ensure the most recetn and current information is considered. While the wait is frustrating, it is a good thing because they are requesting the new narrative to include EVERYTHING that is currently wrong, not just the original MEB issue. So in the long run, this will hopefully help ensure everyone is getting a fair decision made. Once my new Narrative goes up, there is still no time line on how long it will take for that one to be reviewed...so in theory I could still be looking at 6 more months...but I am still trying to remain positive. I am fortunate at least I have an amazing PUEBLO who has been helping me.
 
My SECAF appeal returned today. It was exactly one year for the appeal. As for my ratings, they added low back pain at 10% and kept me rated at 10% for colitis. Good luck to everyone.
 
So that's seperation with severance? How far out do they have your separation date and is there an estimate on when you should see your severance check?

Haven't received my separation date yet. The AFI says 60 days but I've heard some people on here getting 90 days. I will let you know when AFPC creates my orders. From others on the here, they say severance usually shows up around 2-4 weeks after separation date.
 
Hello,

My husband is in a similar situation as far as the NARSUM being way outdated and the package is now at the SAF but it has been since November 2010 that his last medical exam was done and since May 2011 that the Narsum was sent it. Your post gives us some hope that maybe they will do the same for others in the same boat.
Anyhow, what was your outcome, if you don't mind sharing.
