Aug 2013- Tore my vetebral artery while deployed---followed up by multiple strokes
May 2014- MEB Finally Initiated (CC Impact Statement recommends retirement)
11 June 2014- Met with VA MSC
Late June/Early July- C&P Exams at Washington D.C. VA Hospital
22 July 14- VA Report received from PEBLO

Now I'm just waiting for the PCM to write the NARSUM and the informal board to start. I hope it goes quickly.

6 Aug 14- Received Narsum - Recommended no Changes
7 Aug 14- MEB Convened Again added PTSD but did not add the residuals from my stroke
8 Aug 14- I request an Impartial Review to add residuals from stroke (arm/leg weakness, headaches)
13 Aug 14- Notified the reviewer agrees with the board
15 Aug 14- I meet with reviewer - reviewer agrees with me that conditions are unfitting
18 Aug 14- I sign AF Form 618 with 6 referred conditions

Now on to the IPEB......wonder how long this is gonna take?
 
According to the VA Monday Morning Report the D-RAS at Providence RI (handles AF cases) currently take 84.7 calendar days to make a decision. In my cases in took 15 days in transient. So 100 days is my guess.
 
Thanks for the reply Mike. My PEBLO told me to expect 6-9 months for results to come back. I think she is just being ultra conservative. My MEB attorney said more like 3-6 months.

3 Sep 15- I received word from PEBLO that I was found unfit and I also received my ratings (90% DOD and 100% VA)

I can't believe how fast the IPEB/VA rating process went.......two weeks in to total, even with the labor day holiday. I'm very happy with the results.

16 Sep 14- I received retirement orders for 28 Jan 15. I should start terminal leave around the first of November.
