Discussed being sent up for a board mainly due to mental health issues resulting from experiences while active duty. Have also had 3 major surgeries in 2025 to help fix some chronic pain. Agreed to it with the understanding of taking the legacy route to help remove me from active duty ASAP so I can start recovery and get away from the source of it all (yes it's that bad, and yes I understand it means dealing with the VA on my own once separated). Originally my separation date was going to be May 10th, but when I applied I was denied due to the code 37. I now have no idea when I'm getting out - which of course is making my anxiety and hopelessness feel that much worse. Here's my timeline so far:
Nov 19th – Physical Medical Review (AMRO)
December 10th – Psych Board Review (AMRO)
December 16th - First contact with PEBLO
December 18th – Paperwork Submitted to PEBLO
January 22nd – MHNARSUM submitted after personal advocating and discussion with Psychiatrist
January 28th – Case submitted to AFPC, pending FL4
February 2nd-March 8th - Continuous checking in with PEBLO on status (probably being the biggest pain in the rear), only being told the same general thing of "Your case was submitted Jan 28th and is pending adjudication".
March 10th - Case sent back with request rom AFPC for Physical NARSUM with suspense date of March 20.
Definitely gotten leadership involved as well as my first shirt because I've had too many experiences with the AF losing track of me (and others), and letting them take their time will just result in me being kept in the very environment causing/worsening the mental health issues. Will update when I can.
