So it all just started. I was referred to MEB due to it being painful to sit post coccyx removal Surgery (just released from infantry to UAV operator) and am no unable to do my job. I just had my in process meeting with the MEB. she said I'm in the "fast track" process. On wednesday the 12th of march i have the briefing and PEB meeting along with sit down with the doctor. She told me to claim everything up front, originally I wasn't thinking it would be quicker to get out. Writing down every injury I've obtained during my 5 year service and 2 deployments I have constant chronic ringing in my ears, painful to sit due to coccyx injury (landed in the seated position in airborne school in 2009, dislocated my tailbone and have documented DDD) and causes legs to go numb along with tingling, chronic lower back pain with intervals of severe pain and muscle spasms and pain leaning back, chronic upper back/neck pain and pain when head tilts left and right, restless leg syndrome, unable to sleep without sleep aid, broke my right hand and have episodes of aches pain (the break was never documented) I also have an appointment on tuesday the 11th of march with mental health to discuss anxiety and flashbacks I've had. my question is, if I am found to have PTSD does the med board process halt so they can evaluate me for 6 months? or does it continue, receive a rating get discharged then in 6 months decide a higher or lower rating than 50%? (if in fact my research findings that say with PTSD you get automatic 50% for the first 6 months is correct)
