Am I required to take the ACFT while in IDES?

Is the fact that I am in IDES enough to exempt me from the ACFT or would I need a standard profile?

IDES has no bearing on ACFT. Your profile is what gives you restrictions. If your profile restricts you from any of the ACFT events then you wouldn't do them.
