How did your final out go firedawg? The day after my final out was when everything started setting in for me and I realized that I would be a Mr. soon.
Not bad but not good either. Still deal with bs. Need medical care and can't get a referral. When I out processed I was still on one of my secret accounts, which was suppose to be switched 6 months ago, instead they added me to the account with two new people. The day of my final out it got fixed with upper management help. I can't wait for the mister. Damn military is still messing with me. Can't wait for my va letter and dd 214.

15 years for me. Yours sounds like it went fast. I didn't get my open findings for the iWeb til oct.
I'm still trying to find out what I have. The af gave up and now won't give me a referral for a civilian doc. 2 weeks ago I was in 9 out of 10 pain. The doc said I'm not giving you pain drugs. I just want the pain gone but they stopped caring a year ago.
Sept was a full year for me. I'm trying to drag this out for one more, but believe me, I would leave tommorow if possible.

Go to the clinic and fill out a comment card, "i know for most agencies this doesnt mean anything, but it does for the clinic, and that Doc will get his ass strung up. when you leave there, go to the IG/Jag and file a formal complaint. Pick a civilian Dr and make an appointment. Tri care pays for it anyway, so for them not to give you a referal is just stupid. Give the Dr you pick all your info and tell them they have to contact the tricare office at the number you give them. Then sit and wait. If they deny it, this will give you more ammo to use against them.

I was an AC mechanic at one time, and delt with alot of junk airplanes from time to time. What do you suppose they would have done "IF" I or any of my co-workers had just given up? The ish would hit the fan pretty quick.
I would also try to contact some of the VA/Vet groups around for advice. alot of times, some of those guys are lawyers/jags, or can refer you to people who can help.

I'm on Permissive TDY right now. So this is over email. i tired getting it done before i left but they told me Tricare would take care of it and now tricare is telling my base has to take care of it. I'm going to the top. Congressional request if i don't hear anything today. i'm tired of the run around and not caring attitude.
Thats exactly what I would do.Sometimes you have to play both ends against each other. Since I am in Guam, i had to go to Okinawa to get back surgery from a Navy Doc. After the surgery, the AF didnt want to send me back for a follow up, and i was scheduled to go back about every 3 months for a check up. Since my PCM didnt want to make this appointment and wouldnt read the Drs notes, i just went to Tricare/aero vac and asked them if my referal had came down yet. we went through the normal "no...what are you expecting...who....what where ect ect" I then gave them the Navy Drs contact info. I also contacted the Navy Dr myself and kind of hinted around that the AF Dr seems to think that the Navy is clueless. This really got the ball rolling. After that, I would tell my PCM that I had an appointment in Okinawa, and he would just put in a referal.
Its unfortunate to have to go through all of this, but there is alot of ignorance, and resentment in the med field and especially against the other services. The last time I saw the Navy Doc, she was kind of pissed because I had missed a few appointment, "that I was never notified of" The AF just didnt feel like I really needed them. I was pretty pissed, but at this point, I was fed up with the whole thing and ready to just leave.
Finally got a referral. Went to see a doctor within 5 min in the office i got a diagnoisis and a explanation on why i'm having the issues. i got some insoles and got fitted for new shoes. Found out i got 11 4E shoes. Thanks to my DAD!! LOL chronic capsulitis was what they told me i have. 10 military doctors, ortho and podiatrist never found it. love it!!
