air force tdrl confusion

hey everyone...just got a letter in the mail from randolph asking me to send it back with my updated phone number and address, but im a little confused about one thing and that is why they said my evaluation is scheduled for no later than 15 months from date of separation...i thought it was every 18 months not ever 15 months? has anyone else seen this? or is this new. any input is great..thank you all.

You are reevaluated at least every 18 months. When I was TDRL I had my one and only redcap within 12 months.

oh really? so yours was before a year was up? wow i thought it was on the dot on the 18 month your evaluation is. everyones timelines i saw showed that they were evaluated on 18 months from their date of separation ..doesnt make sense to me

I was guard. Placed on TDRL July 2009. Reevaluation was performed in April 2010. Recommendation ( PDRL 30%). Requested and Had formal FPEB Dec 2010. (came back with same PDRL 30%). Sent rebuttal to SECAF in Dec 2010. Received PDRL 30% Oct 2011 from SECAF.

I was active duty air force, placed on tdrl in September 2007, and didn't have my tdrl evaluate until February 2010. Sent my secaf appeal in very beginning of October 2010 and am still waiting on results.

My TDRL re-eval was 15 months after separation date. I think that is when they start the clock, not your hearing date. It has to be BEFORE 18 months. I appealed the decision to SECAF Personnel Council in Nov and got their decision in Jun to uphold FPEB decision. I haven't read about many success stories about going to the SECAF. Don't expect much.

My FPEB records contained a note "SECAF DRAFT"....LOL

The 18 month rule didn't apply to me.. between my date of seperation and my tdrl eval was almost 2 1/2 years. My secaf appeal is taking well over a year now. I keep hearing about others who are getting their decisions back.. why is mine taking so long!

I got one also and it says that mine will be 6 months. Mar/Apr. It says I also have to bring a bunch of stuff. Not going to do that as I am going to let them tell me specifically what they want and sign the proper releases. I just want them to leave me alone.
