Hello I'm back again, I could use some good advice. I currently have the early reserve retirement and I am 100% p/t with the VA. I filed with afbcmr a few months back to trying get my retirement changed to a medical retirement versus a reserve retirement. One of my main questions is Tricare much better than championVA? I do not have very many retirement points and with my 100% with the VA I don't imagine I would stand to make any more money is that correct? Is there any reason other than space a flights overseas to fight this more? The board sent back my recommendation and they are recommending that I do not get a medical retirement and they are giving me 30 days to respond to their memorandum to the board. So I guess the board still has to review it. I still feel I have a case to fight it much of what they said was incorrect. One of their major points was that I signed the Non Duty DES form admitting that it was non duty related. At the time I was told my options were to sign it and get a reserve retirement or don't and get discharged. MPF told me I had no choice. I was told there were no options to fight it since the lod was denied. Also I was removed from my position due to MH and forced to scrub toilets on base for over a year not punishing me at all of course. I had a hard time wanting to fight that fight anymore. So any advice is very welcome trying to figure out if I want to do a rebuttal or let it go. Thanks
