All, I am a stickler for details and I just don't like that this Block indicates that my illness DISABILITY WAS NOT INCURRED IN A COMBAT ZONE. I have a 60% DOD PDRL and 70% VACP rating, so why is this one little block concerning me so much? I have until COB on 9NOV to decide to appeal or accept the rating.

Does it really make a difference in the future for benefits or entitlements? Office of Airman's Counsel says I can request to have it changed by supplying
I would like you to gather the following three pieces of evidence:
1) A copy of your Qatar orders;
2) A regulation or instruction that officially designates Qatar as a combat zone at the time of your deployment; and
3) A letter from your doctor/specialist explaining how your PE occurred in a combat zone. You mentioned a problem in that no official diagnosis was established at the time you left the combat zone. In short, just have your doctor explain that situation for the formal board and establish that you had a PE at the time of your deployment.
Yet, his bottom line was it really makes no difference to his knowledge other than my intent to correct the disparity. Thoughts....
