Long story short, I am getting medically separated and administratively for refusal for the Covid-19 vaccination. I am not here to debate that issue but solely for the issue at hand. I received notification that I will be medically separated (shoulder injury) on 29AUG22. The same day, I got my admin separation message, but it stated that my separation will be decided by the commander at Naval Personnel Command. It stated in the fine print that disposition of the case may take an excess of 180 days. It has been nearly two months since my messages came through. I know my case is unique, but anyone have any idea how long it takes for them to decide at Naval Personnel Command?
I know everyone on here is in a "hurry-up and wait" situation as well but I have been in the medical board process for nearly two years and the administration separation process for nearly one year. I am just trying to get my civilian life together. I have had to turn down some really good jobs due to the constant delays and the constant need of approval from certain commands.
