Adjustment disorder

Ok I have been diagnosed with ADJ disorder due to medical condition.... but I tell the DOC im depressed and anxiety and never want to leave the house (I Know it sounds bad).. but either way I just entered the MEB process for my back and Knee as well as other medical conditions will the adjustment disorder/depression/anxiety be on the meb as well
- other info all the doctors visits gives you a depression screening and i usually have a high score every time I answer them honestly, and when I look at MED records depression screening is positive ? thanks for anyone who anwseres

E3.P3.4.4.. A member may be determined unfit as a result of the overall
effect of two or more impairments even though each of them, standing alone, would not cause
the member to be referred into the DES or be found unfit because of physical disability.
 
Listed as "9440 Chronic adjustment disorder" within the VASRD, an adjustment disorder occurs when an individual is unable to adjust to or cope with a particular stressor, like a major life event. Since people with this disorder normally have symptoms that depressed people do, such as general loss of interest, feelings of hopelessness and crying, this disorder is also sometimes known as situational depression. Unlike major depression however, the disorder is caused by an outside stressor and generally resolves once the individual is able to adapt to the situation.

Moreover, adjustment disorder condition is different from anxiety disorder, which lacks the presence of a stressor, or post-traumatic stress disorder and acute stress disorder, which usually are associated with a more intense stressor. According to the DSM-IV-TR, if the adjustment disorder lasts less than 6 months, then it may be considered acute. If it lasts more than 6 months, it may be considered chronic.

To that extent, adjustment disorders has been classified as being so "vague and all-encompassing...as to be useless," but it has been retained in the DSM-IV because of the belief that it serves a useful clinical purpose for clinicians seeking a temporary, mild, non-stigmatizing label, particularly for patients who need a diagnosis for insurance coverage of therapy.

With that all said, it's vital to ensure that all of your behavioral health conditions are accurately documented within your military medical files. Thus, possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer.

ok, I have a question. Has anyone heard of all MEB packets being put on hold as of the last month due to the PEB and VA having conferences over adjustment disorders and not knowing how to classify or rate them. I have been waiting for 3 weeks now and I am told this by my PEBLO>

The information reported to you by your PEBLO may have some validity, but unfortunatley I have not read anything in support of his comments.

Thus, I quite often commen that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."
