Adjustment Disorder news

Hey all,

Just realized my IDES case is part of this clusterfuck. Is there any light at the end of the tunnel? I've been waiting for my proposed ratings since 12 Dec 2012 and now this bullshit happened. Is there anyway I can request to take the proposed ratings that are complete and leave the Army?
You should have contacted the Ombudsman, PEBLO, and MSC months ago!!! Your packet has expired stuff in it now, and can not be completed as is. Get to calling yesterday!

I talk to my PEBLO and MSC every few weeks. They don't say shit about expired paperwork. What the shit should I do? This is ridiculous. You said I should go to the hospital Ombudsman? What about IG? Congressional Complaint? I'm at a loss.

Go to the hospital Patient Advocacy office in the hospital and contact the person who primarily works on the MEB cases, usually is the Chief of Patient Advocacy. You also need to notify your PEBLO and MSC your are contacting the Ombudsman along with the Patient Advocacy Chief, usually an answer comes with-in an hour from your PEBLO or MSC. If not wait patiently for the Patient Advocacy and/or Ombudsman to call you back, takes about 24-48 hours for them to call you back.

If this doesn't work PM me and I have another suggestion for you.

Good deal, indeed!

As previously suggested, insightful and sound assistance provided...by grizz13! ;)

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

Status update:

Contacted BAMC Patient Affairs/Ombudsman on Thursday afternoon. She was very apologetic but then gave the same line, "you just need to wait etc etc."

Said she'd talk to a few people at the PEB and VA and would get back with me either Friday or Monday.

Thanks for everybodys help.

Indeed, a positive overall update in my opinion! :)

Nonetheless, please remain positively proactive in your interactions while in the DoD IDES MEB/PEB process. ;)

Glad that you followed through, keep us posted on how you are doing or ask any questions you may have!

Status Update:
Just like PEBLO11 was saying, I received the same old DA 199 with the AD as not unfitting on it. Nothing really changed and I am happy as I finally received my DA 199. I am going to take it to legal just to be sure everything is right on it and will return the signed copy tomorrow.
My PEBLO told me they have been getting separation messages in 2-3 days once the DA199 is signed.

I really thank this forum and all the members. Special thanks to PEBLO11. Thank you!!!

Great news! Please see my link in my signature block to get a good idea what happens after signing the 199!

As an FYI, I received my CAD memo from the PEB yesterday. This was after my eBenefits changed last Tuesday to "Gathering Evidence" and "Requested Separation Documents". I assume this means that my VA ratings were done after 226 days of processing and the PEB has my ratings back from the VA. Look at my signature for more details.
