Just thought I'd contribute to the community. The waiting and anxiety it produced is a ridiculous stressor, but as others have said, the process will run it's course and there's not a whole lot that you can do in order to expedite. Every bit of information helps, but the unfortunate thing about this site is the "closing the loop" of the process by the posters. I'll do my best to try and post everything I can until the day I sign out on terminal leave.

With that being said, timeline is below:

Referral 09/08/2015

VA Claims 09/09/2015

Medical Exam 10/16/2015

Medical Evaluation Board 11/02/2015

Informal PEB 11/30/2015

VA Rating 12/17/2015

PEB Findings ????

I will say this much, my PEBLO, MSC and Unit were extremely helpful in the beginning of the process, but after Winter Block Leave, the VA's supposed computer issues and my Division's implementing a new standard that all COs/1SGs will be rated on their company's deployability, it just seems like the process has stalled/overburden. With the influx of Soldiers in the IDES process and Unit's concern over non-deployable Soldiers, it seems like the PEBLOs/MSC's have too much on their plates and are become annoyed by request for updates by Soldiers and Unit's are becoming less supportive/cooperative with their Soldiers due to their OERs/NCOERs being negatively effected by injured Soldiers.

Fun Times!

Doc, where are you stationed? I'm at Sill and I agree with you. The process was supported pretty well by the command and then it was just gone. My PEBLO and her assistant are very helpful and pretty quick, when it's something they can do, but after my last meeting I think my PEBLO is going to be out on sick leave for awhile.

Spot on! Our timelines are almost identical so I feel your pain. It sucks, at this point everything is out of our PEBLO's hands. Mine informed me that they just got a handful of 199's back so hopefully the process speeds up and findings start getting spit out to PEBLO's each day. That holiday block and blizzard really screwed things up but I'm confident things are back in full swing at this point. Maybe this will be the week! Good Luck!

Still waiting...

Is there any way to further along the process? I've been waiting on my 199 for 70+ days now.

Contact your MEB attorney. That would be the only thing I could think of. There must have been an issue with your case and it probably got sent back for review.

I spoke with the Soldier's Counsel Attorney this morning. They said there was nothing that they could do, but wait.

I'd really like to find someone who can just at least someone is tracking my packet...

That's fucking insane man... I'm sorry you've had to deal with such a long wait. Just goes to show you why they give such broad timelines for everything.

99 days since the VA sent my ratings to the PEB. Signed my 199 today. 40/70 PDRL!
