9 months and still no findings...?

I am a Navy PO1 stationed in DC and I was referred to the board in January 2016, NARSUM done by March, C&Ps done by early June. I have been "Pending Decision Approval" since 20AUG2016. I contacted my PEBLO and MSC asking them if there is anything that the board needs from me, or anything I can do to help out, and they are not helpful and said, don't contact them unless I havent gotten a decision in January...

I called the VA because I had some issue with my eBenefit account so while on the phone with them, I asked them if they can give me the timeline as to when my status was changed to "Pending Decision Approval" and that is how I found out it was 20AUG2016. I asked them if they know what is holding up the status and they said that they cannot release my findings until I get my DD214. My EAOS as of now is 20NOV2016... which to me, either they just can't see that I am going through a IDES board, or someone messed up my case. Called my MSC about it and he said its still on the raters desk...

Checked my timeline yesterday on eBenefits, my claim's "estimated completion" is now pushed back 3 months to April of 2017...

I know patience is a virtue and each case is different, but after reading other peoples case's on this forum, it seems like mine is taking much longer than the average... I know 3 people who were referred to the board months after me, and they already have their findings and are starting terminal in the next few weeks. I'm really frustrated and just trying to sort out my life, however have no support of anyone running my case. :/

Seeing as that I am at 9 months already... do you think the VA messed up somewhere? The VA shouldn't be waiting for me to "get out" in November to release my findings...

Thanks all!

Check your historical claims and see if you have anything that is closed out.

Ok, from 60-90 days from 01SEP2016, that is about the time you will receive your findings. Unless they push it backwards because needs more evidence. So I am assuming, maybe next month you will get notified.

Ok. Thank you for that. I will hang in tight. I heard the Navy is the furthest behind on their cases anyway so that could be another reason the other people I know (Army) have gotten their findings and a date they can get out of service...

My case has been at the PEB for about 2 months and I haven't heard anything back yet about fit or unfit. Im assuming they are just very backed up. As for your EAOS being in NOV I believe you can be pushed beyond your EAOS because you are in the med board at least that's what I was told. My EAOS is DEC 7th and they said I will be in later than that because im in the med board process so EAOS doesn't matter. If anyone else has any info on that or if I have the wrong info please let us know. Hope that helps, good luck.

If you are on Medical Board, you are considered on Med Hold until you get your results. If the process passes your EAS, then you must get a new EAS after you get your results. I had a sergeant who got out over a year pass his EAS because of Medical.

Let us know if you guys hear anything about your findings. My developement letter was sent and closed August 10th, pending decision approval. So about 90 days and counting.. hopefully any day..
