Hi all, long time lurker. Was just informed of my med board yesterday and figured I would throw my case timeline up
March 2021 - Sent to Allergist for severe allergies and asthma symptoms
May 2021 - Diagnosed with Idopathic Mast Cell Disorder, Severe Allergies, and Mild Persistent Asthma.
1 June 2021 - Code 37 Applied, informed I was being put up for I-RILO, PEBLO first contacted me.
1 June 2021- CC impact statement sent to me by my CC to draft
10 June 2021- CC statement back, do not retain
24 June 2021- AFPC came back MEB, NARSUM received
Thats where I'm at so far. NARSUM has Asthma G3, with my daily inhaled Advair 500 and FEV-1/FVC of 70%. I'm definitely at least 30% there. I'm close to 60% with the corticosteroids as ive already had 2 doses in the last 12 months to control symptoms, and I don't know how they will rate the Xolair injections monthly.
The mast cell disorder there were a few posts on here, but didn't really fit me. I was ruled out for Systemic Mastocytosis, but confirmed that i have a mast cell disorder. My symptoms are mostly systemic between shortness of breath, anaphylaxis symptoms, flushed face, not really hives so much as just rash across my chest, tiredness, joint pains. They think most are caused by this issue. Xolair is primarily for that. Since it doesn't have its own code, they marked it under Anaphylaxis A1 on my NARSUM. I'm not sure how that one will go. Maybe 10%/20% at best I think.
I'll keep y'all posted, thanks for all the info i've absorbed over the last year or so lurking.
