2015 Results Posted, Well Some Anyway

Same here. For better or worse, the 2015 crowd is getting close.

All I can think about is everything I would have explained differently at that physical, if I had only known how the system worked back then. Maybe my fear of him thinking I was a whiney marshmallow would have come true, but he would have had a much better understanding of what hurt and where. My dignity would have healed fine in the years that followed.
Absolutely, without a doubt, agree 100% on this!! Kicking myself to this day and after looking at these decisions, I'm not hopeful!

Cassdw70, all I can tell you is that you have nothing to lose and your odds are better than a lottery ticket. The disappointment only stung for a few hours and then I woke up and carried on as normal. The sun still rose this morning.

Thank you Paradox45!! I'm sorry you didn't get the outcome you hoped for!

I'm going to submit, that's for certain. I had 5 unfitting conditions (all with incapacitating episodes within 12 months) (and an additional 4 deemed Medically Acceptable) and somehow was only rated 20%. I don't have a copy of the PEB adjudication (I've submitted my request for my C File) to see what it actually says about each condition.

I only have one chance at doing it right, so I want to make sure all of my ducks are lined up, if you know what I mean. I really only need them to increase the total another 10% (since VA rated one of the unfitting condition 40%, and it's a presumptive condition from the Gulf War, my odds are good, but not guaranteed, especially since the VA glossed over others and either Not Service Connected some that were in my MEB, not sure how, and 0% one of the big ones) but my stellar NCOER's and promotion to E7 just prior to the MEB may go against my favorable higher rating, ironically. But, I was temp profiled from Oct 97 until my MEB recommendation (permanent profile) in June 2001 and NARSUM was dated Nov 2001 with an exit date of Jan 2002. I was Med Hold, so obviously not performing my MOS duties for 14 months.

Just got my results today. No retirement but increased from 0-10%. This actually makes me happy.

When they do that, do you get a severance? Or an increased severance? I can't remember if they base it on the percentage

No increased severence. Severence was based on time in service and base pay amount. I basically get nothing except reassurance that I wasnt crazy. To me that's worth a lot lately. Now I go after the VA who denied service connection and hopefully I can get backpay from them eventually.

That's right, I couldn't remember
Been a while since I got out.

Hopefully I will get mine back soon. PDBR says they sent their recommendation to the Navy on 1/31, but I haven't heard anything back yet

That's better than nothing, I suppose. I know it isn't what any of us hope for in applying! It will definitely help your VA case! Congratulations on the increase, though! At least we know they're still working. Looking at the board, it doesn't seem like that case :)

I was upgraded from 0 to 20% through the Army. I have received all the information but I don't know what to do next. I don't know if there is anything left to do. I have checked status updates and even though mine is done it's not listed on the new ones from 2015. Will I get acknowledge pay and a monthly check or nothing. All the information. I find is from people that have received retirement.

You'll just have to google it. I know I have found one before and gave to another user and I found it through google. Sorry!
Do you know who to call if you are looking to see where a packet is once it went to IPEB? TIA

As a point of reference, I was told on May 25th:

"Your case is in final PDBR processing which includes an administrative review and final PDBR signature. Once it is signed, it will be forwarded to the Army, and once received, they will have 45 days to render their decision, then another 10 days to send you notification of that decision."

They told me to check back with them (pdbr) in four weeks from that day to check the status again.

Paradox,

When did you send it the initial letter? How long did it take altogether?

So many questions... When I got out of the Airforce in 2004 ( I was in for 9 years) for a DVT, I was awarded 10% for my pinky finger and 20% for my DVT, a blood clot in my leg (still there). The blood clot was deemed service related. 4 years ago, the VA awarded me 20% for my DVT. The monthly check I get now is the combination of 50%? Is each rating figured the same way?

What is the likelihood of a raise, is there a percentage rate our there somewhere?

I got he PDBR letter in February and sent it back middle of March. I have not heard anything yet. What is the time frame for all the different steps?

If they raise my percentage, what happens if they raise it above my 30% from the VA? I am hoping they rasie it above 30%. Will I get back pay all the way back to 2004?

I read something about how the back pay comes before the increase in my monthly check. Is that true? How much earlier?

Thank you to anyone who takes the time to answer. I have so many questions!

So I accidentally locked myself out the other account. So created a new one. Update I was officially retired from the army.
