1st TDRL Eval Results

I had my 1st TDRL reevaluation Oct 1st and just received the results in the mail today. Definitely wasnt expecting results this quickly. I was given 60% Permanent Retirement.

Chronic low back pain status-post L4-L5 diskectomy and reexplorartion 40%

Major Depressive Disorder, with Pain Disorder due to psychological factors 30%

Right knee pain, with articular cartilage injury and early arthritis 10%

Also noted in the summary was how I was diagnosed with AVN of the hip joints after original MEB was conducted and the AVN was caused by the medication from the back problems, and have already had 1 hip replaced because of the AVN and soon to have 2nd one done.

Really happy that I got this decision and am blessed to have had this site available for not just me, but for all the others out there so we dont have to go through this whole process in the blind. This site has been and always will be an incredible resource for all.

How long did they take to make a decision for the findings? Only reason why I ask is I am coming up on my 6 month reevaluation in February. I was placed on TRDL (Air Force) for PTSD (50%) and osteochondrotin dessicans (10%) totalling 60%. VA rated me at 70% with my other service connected medical stuff...

My last appt for the TDRL reevaluation was Oct 1st. I received the packet saying permanent retirement in the mail yesterday the 19th of Nov. So a little over a month for them to write up the narrative summaries and send them off and for them to make a decision. I am rated 100% right now through the VA because of a hip replacement. However that 100% is only temp until next month and then my overall percentage drops to 90%. 50% for sleep apnea, 40% for back, 10% for knee, 10% for Major Depressive Disorder and 30% for left hip. I should be able to go back to VA and have the Major Depressive Disorder increased to 30% from the TDRL findings.

Congratulations! That must be a huge relief. I wanted to know if while on TDRL does that time go towards permanent retirement. Or will your retirement date be the day you began TDRL? Thanks and I hope you continue to get healthy.
