Now does the 90 days effect your Permissive, and terminal leave if you have more than 90 days combined. I hit transpoc six days ago but they want give me an appt until HRC produces my orders. Also I'm AGR. So I'm in my 90 day window but my PEBLO just sent the PDIR to my BN to be processed. I'm confused and worried that I won't get to use my PTDY or my leave at all. My command has approved it but I can't do anything until I have orders. The PDA wants me out by June 2, 2015. I'm 60% dod, and 80% VA. Can I in anyway file for an extension through the PDA in order to have time to clear and start my PTDY, and leave or am I screwed?
Leave, but itself, cannot extend your ETS. You can use your leave as justification in your request that the PDA to set your ETS to a date that works for you. PDA has fairly wide latitude in setting an ETS date that assists with transition, but still needs an official request with reasonable justification to set it to something besides 90 days out.
Excess leave at ETS is converted to sold leave. 30 days of leave is worth one month of base pay, fractions convert to fractions of base pay. A total of 60 days of leave can be sold over your entire career. Screwed may not be the right word.
Thanks, it took about three weeks from signing the 199 to hitting TRANSPOC. Everyone case is different though. ScoutCC thanks brother. I ended up looking at the reg. Pretty cut and dry. I'll lose about ten days total. So it's not a total loss. It's crazy how slow it goes until the end then it's 0 to 60 in seconds. I just panicked for a min. Thanks again.
Info my PEBLO gave me was 4187, signed through O6, routed to USAPDA. I ended up not needing it, so I did not test that route. Others have said they just did 4187 with O3 and turned it into separation section. That makes plenty of sense to me. Your ETS date is never really moved up when they cut the separation orders, it just has a get out by date. Separation folk are expected to execute the orders. They just need something to attach to the orders that looks official to justify things if anyone comes asking and the 4187 assures them that your commander won't come asking, who is the only person who ever would anyway. So that route may depend on the separation folk not being jerks, but USAPDA definitively can cut new orders if they get a request.
