I signed my NARSUM at the end of January, it is now March 1st. I called my PEBLO to see if she had anything new, and she told me that she got my unfit letter, the PEB found me unfit the very next day after I signed my NARSUM. Why, if anyone can tell me, would the 199 be taking so long?
 
Just because you have been found unfit doesnt mean you 199 is ready to sign. You MEB Package is now going to the VA for ratiings. This usually takes 4-6 weeks for them to send it back, then you'll be able to review and sign if you agree with what they say.
 
You got your unfit in January. The VA is backed up. I got mine in DEC and still no ratings. VA has to rate you send it back to PEB and then they generate 199. ITs a lengthy process. You still got another month or two before you see 199 in my opinion.

Well, your PEBLO dropped the ball not letting you know of your unfit memo. Just saying. And I concur with the above members' postings.
 
Same here jan11 unfit and waiting now. I in day 48 hopefully it's done within a few weeks.

I think the IDES directive timeline is 45 working days from unfit to ratings determination...but as we all know, and as the cliche goes--"could be sooner, could be longer."

Do you know if your patient affairs tracks IDES, and subsequent phases, timelines? The instillation I was at, its Patient Affairs tracked average days for each phase of all SM's on the post who were going through the IDES.
 
I shouldn't go by averages anymore. Bc just like the peb tracker it is stating average 38 days. Most people I've seen so far is way over that mark. Don't want to get my hopes up.
 
Thats smart. THe tracker doesnt take into account the different times of the year including holidays and even backlogs or systems being down.

Did u get ratings?? I just got.mine read Sig.
 
I still do not have my 199, I called the VA here at Fort Drum, and I was told that my packet is where it is supposed to be, but they also told me that it has not had any activity on it for a long while now. I'm sick of it! I wrote a letter to my Sen. John McCain, and explained everything so will see now...But on another note. Congratulations on getting your 199 and ratings.
 
I completely understand, I waited almost 90 days for ratings. If you were found unfit begin of feb, you still have some waiting. They have 120 days total for peb. You are what 60-65? I know it drives you crazy bc I was going nuts. I finally I got them. You still have some time man. Just hold it together. Writing to senator isn't going to solve anything, just going to get the same repsonse.
 
Have not got 199 yet, just proposed should get 199 next week.
