18.5 years of active service

So I’ve been in the Army for 18.5 years. If I make it to 19 and drop retirement can I choose retirement over the MEB? Being MEB’d for multiple sclerosis.

I wish for you the best of luck. @chaplaincharlie is one who can offer sound advice on the matter.

Please keep us updated...

Ron,

Do you know if I can cross the finish line on terminal leave in the Army as well? Will that still count?

@RonG I tried to push the MEB off as long as I physically good unfortunately the MEB officially started last week. I'll have 19.4 years of service when I am discharged for MS.

I am sorry to learn that you might not make it to the 20 year active duty level.

Do you have other questions for the board?
