    Chapter 61 & CRSC

I'm so sorry to hear that Jimmyjet. There is no way that in today's world, that this is justified. I don't care how long ago it was. They need to come up with a special calculation for vets such as yourself.

How do I calculate my CRSC--Post New Requests at the CRSC Forum of This Board

You are correct Ron. For my CRSC @ 60%, the calculation in my case is the VA 60% rate with spouse and child under 18. For my Reserve retirement calculation of $2148, it is calculated based on high 3 of a CW2 with (2) years being "over 20" & (1) year "over 22" with a grand total of approximately...

How do I calculate my CRSC--Post New Requests at the CRSC Forum of This Board

Ron, Yes indeed it is confusing. I understand the purpose of CRSC. In my case the VA rated me dating back to NOV 2016 for the same CRSC injuries. The reason I bring this retro pay issue up is because I asked this question in a different forum and got 3 different answers. I'll tell you why as...

How do I calculate my CRSC--Post New Requests at the CRSC Forum of This Board

After 2 hours on the phone with DFAS I finally got my questions answered. 2148 is my High 3 as a W2 pay grade with "over 8 years", OR 3570 points, and IT DOES include locality. As far as the CRSC is calculated according to DFAS, Ron, you were correct. 60% CRSC is $1290.86 per month with a...

How do I calculate my CRSC--Post New Requests at the CRSC Forum of This Board

Ron, I just spoke to DFAS and my CRSC amount for 60% is $1151.19. In regards to retro pay, My CRSC approval letter states that the effective date is SEP 2018, which is the month after I retired. I do not agree with this date, so I submitted a reconsideration package requesting to go back to...

How do I calculate my CRSC--Post New Requests at the CRSC Forum of This Board

Ron, no problem. This is a learning curve for me. I gave you wrong info on the 50%. It should be 24.79% multiplier as you stated before. So if the 40% is used to calculate my RAS, it still doesn't add up to get 2148. 4531 X 40% is only 1812. I wonder where 2148 is coming from. I don't think...

How do I calculate my CRSC--Post New Requests at the CRSC Forum of This Board

Ron, I retired in August 2018. Yes, my total retirement points is 3570 X 360 = 9.91 years. 9.91 years for my W2 pay grade in 2018 is "over 8 years" = 24.79% 24.79% X 4531 = 1123 How did 2148 come into play because now the 1123 makes sense

How do I calculate my CRSC--Post New Requests at the CRSC Forum of This Board

Thanks Ron. This makes sense. The only thing I still don't seem to get my head wrapped around is that the 2148 comes from a high 3 of 5370. I know that 5370 X 40% is 2148 however, I believe that for my RAS of 2148, it is derived from 4531(actual High 3 of a W2 pay grade with over 8 years) X...

How do I calculate my CRSC--Post New Requests at the CRSC Forum of This Board

Ron, attached is my DA 5892, PEBLO ESTIMATED DISABILITY COMPENSATION WORKSHEET. Your numbers are correct; another piece of info that I have is that during the time of my medical retirement which the Army medically retired me at 40%, I was 80% VA during that time ($1840 per month). So, the...

How do I calculate my CRSC--Post New Requests at the CRSC Forum of This Board

Ron, I need your help. Played with many different calculators and cannot figure it out. Prior to medically retiring from the Army Reserve, I had a 20 year letter, not sure if this info is needed. Retiree account statement says $2148. (I've attached a picture of it.) High 3 is $4531 Medically...
