Thanks @RonG . Just did the calculation myself and it looks like I would be due $276 CRSC. I really appreciate your help.

Would appreciate help on a CRSC and total compensation estimate

Thank you both. I really appreciate it. So @RonG , going by this by my high 3 is actually $6978, not the higher amount in my original post. I assume I am still not eligible for CRSC for this amount but wanted to ask.

Would appreciate help on a CRSC and total compensation estimate

Thank you. So if I am in the National Guard currently, is this calculated as if I were active duty during that time?

Would appreciate help on a CRSC and total compensation estimate

Hello, one more question that came up after signing my retirement docs: my time in service is 12 years 9 months (what my drill pay has been based off), but my retirement orders say: Total Service for Disability Retirement : 8 years 1 month. This is underneath the section that says my basic pay...

Would appreciate help on a CRSC and total compensation estimate

This is very interesting. My Google searching hasn’t turned anything up about Chapter 61 compensation not being subject to tax. Could you possibly point me in the right direction?

Would appreciate help on a CRSC and total compensation estimate

Great thank you. That's what my calculations were getting me and wanted to check. Would the retirement pay be $4172 (from VA and untaxed) + $1603.29 (from DFAS) or would I have to either pick to get it all from DFAS or just take my previous VA amount?

Would appreciate help on a CRSC and total compensation estimate

Hello, I just signed my DA 199 and would appreciate some help figuring out what my total compensation (including CRSC) will be. 1. High three pay: $7701.60 2. DoD disability retirement percentage: 100% 3. Years and months of active duty: 2934 points which looks like it translates to 8 years...

Already rated 100% and went through MEB C&P exams. Examiner was asking about all my conditions I am not referred for.

Hello everybody. I am finally in my MEB process in the Army National Guard, after already being rated 100% after leaving active duty. I am being referred for PTSD (70%). I did not file any claims for my MEB as my lawyer told me this could cause my rating to be impacted and I’m already 100%...

BRS Retirement Continuation pay while going through MEB?

Hello everybody, I just received a certified letter that I am going to be referred to the MEB process for my PTSD. However, I am also in my 12 year window and have enrolled in the BRS retirement program, which for an army national guard member allows me to get a bonus of 4x monthly pay in...

Left active duty and rated 100% VA. Now in the NG and was asked if I want to MEDBOARD… unsure of the benefits

Almost. I’m an O-3 so over half my pay gets lost to losing VA disability for those MUTAs. Plus with paying the tricare premium… I’m basically breaking even. When I factor paying taxes on drill pay it’s probably a loss. So that’s why I think I have a lot to gain through getting a medical retirement.

Left active duty and rated 100% VA. Now in the NG and was asked if I want to MEDBOARD… unsure of the benefits

Good question. But I’m an officer so I just transferred with a 4187. I didn’t sign any new contract. Also, my injuries are combat deployment related.

Left active duty and rated 100% VA. Now in the NG and was asked if I want to MEDBOARD… unsure of the benefits

Yeah this is what I think I’m going to do. There was no medical exam for me to transfer from active duty to national guard.

Left active duty and rated 100% VA. Now in the NG and was asked if I want to MEDBOARD… unsure of the benefits

Thanks for the info. I’m sure you can’t give “odds” but what do you think my chances of getting the 30% are? I read that VA and DoD disability are calculated differently. Also, nice to see OSU colors on here (I am an OSU alumni).

Left active duty and rated 100% VA. Now in the NG and was asked if I want to MEDBOARD… unsure of the benefits

Hello everybody, I left active duty end of September 2021. I have almost 12 years of service (7 active). I joined the national guard, and was rated 100% by the VA in the meantime. I am an AMEDD officer in an AMEDD unit. I notified my unit and the head PA asked me if I wanted to go through an...

Currently separating after 11 years, and nobody has brought up a MEB for me. Should I request one?

I have never been on profile. I haven’t had to do organized pt so doctors have just told me what to do and what not to do.

Currently separating after 11 years, and nobody has brought up a MEB for me. Should I request one?

Hello everybody, I am currently in the process of separating as an O-3 with 11 years of service, 7 of which are on active duty (currently active duty). I unfortunately have had a multiple of health issues over the years, and am getting ready for a VA claim. HOWEVER I am wondering if I should be...
