Why not ask for the PTDY, it’s paid time that will help in your transition. If your commander has been supportive I bet he/she approves it. The worst that can happen is they say no.

I went to my county VET center, the guy who helps people with submitting a claim was able to log into the VA system and see the status of my case/proposed ratings on the VA side.

In my case I was specific telling them I have 15 years TAFMS and around 7800 points toward retirement. Seems this is one of those issues where you get a different answer every time you ask the question. I know a few people who are getting paid and a few others who are not.

If you went to QTC for you exam you can Look at their website to track the progress, when it shows complete there you should be able to see it on Tricare online in a day or so.

For me it was about 2 weeks after I accepted the IPEB results.

Did you tell them you are willing to travel a further distance? I did this and got an appointment 1 month sooner. Only had to drive 2.5 hours, for me it was a small price to pay to move things along. Worth a try?
