    Air Force CRSC gouge

Got it. Like I said, it should be pretty obvious my injuries were the direct result of combat. Looking for some CRSC experts to chime in here regarding what the AF CRSC program people need to see (beyond what the CRSC program website calls for i.e. specific gouge).

    Air Force CRSC gouge

Hey all, wonder if any AF folks had some advice for submitting a CRSC package? I'm awaiting VA ratings right now and have been found unfit (unofficially, thru the PEBLO looking it up). I'm trying to get my ducks in a row prior to likely retirement. How anal is the AF CRSC program folks compared...

    Inaccurate claim during MEB?

Had my PEBLO look in system for me. She saw it on there.

    Inaccurate claim during MEB?

Alright...so I did my C & P exams (still on active). I noticed that Chronic Fatigue Syndrome was put on my claim form. Somewhere, at sometime, a AF doc had that for a diagnosis; my "claim adder guy" put it in my claim. My C & P exam basically said I show no signs of having it. Now, I did...

Reactive Airway Disease: In-service diagnosis vs. VA diagnosis

Thanks Scout, yeah that link was exactly what I was looking at. Thanks for the comment. Was concerned the VA doc would have to re-diagnose for my MEBing condition to be valid or not. Sounds like that's not the case.

Reactive Airway Disease: In-service diagnosis vs. VA diagnosis

Can't seem to find an answer to this. I was diagnosed with Reactive Airway Disease while in-service by a civilian doc. He gave me the methacoline challenge and I had a reaction at .5mg. 34% decrease in FEV1 I believe it was. That was at the end of 2014. Had a PFT done today for my VA C&P...

    CRSC for UAV Pilots?

rnsy8s, thanks for your service. I too have been diagnosed with PTSD after about 1900 hours in the MQ-9 as an SO. Loved my job, loved schwacking baddies, but after years of doing it, it effects your mind in unforeseen (and many unnoticeable) ways. Before being in that job, I would have been...

    New guy. PTSD "faking normal"

Scout--Not sure why you care if I "hate" putting chemicals in my body, but let me explain. I never went to using booze ever; never had the drive for it. First off, let me clarify it is MAN-MADE concoctions that I'm highly wary of. I was put on two types of anti-depressants temporarily back...

    New guy. PTSD "faking normal"

Antknee, your story/experiences sound near identical to what I'm going thru. I actually had to check the name on your post again to make certain it wasn't I who wrote it. UPDATE: I've completed cognitive therapy. I can honestly say I hated every minute of it. I was fully open and honest...

    Active duty diagnosis....redo at C&P?

scoutCC....excellent reply. Thanks for passing that info; very helpful.

    Active duty diagnosis....redo at C&P?

Copy that, but do they rely on all the past documented diagnosis and recent recorded history or does that even matter? Worst case I see: the C & P makes a different diagnosis.

    Active duty diagnosis....redo at C&P?

I'm awaiting my MEB, but had a concern. I"m being MEB'd for unfitting conditions of Chronic PTSD, MDD, Anxiety, PLMS (secondary to PTSD), Alpha intrusion (secondary to PTSD). I've gone thru a full 12 week PTSD program and have been seen 20+ times since Jan '15 at MH and a previous program of...

    New guy. PTSD "faking normal"

I probably dealt with it for a few years before it got out of control. Thought it was just normal..just something you had to deal with. Didn't even think I had PTSD and I certainly didn't want to be pulled out of a combat support role. I bit and scratched for another OEF deployment and got it...

    New guy. PTSD "faking normal"

Thanks all for the advice. It's good to get an outside look to make sure I'm not completely crazy! My MH provider is aware of my concerns and frustrations. And he told me upfront it will get worse before it gets better. Not sure if it's getting worse due to the program or outside factors...

    New guy. PTSD "faking normal"

Need some advice here. I voluntarily enrolled in a PTSD treatment program at the base MH. Half way thru treatment, my MEB was started for PLMD (most likely related to PTSD) and reactive airway disorder. The MEB requested a NARSUM from MH (due to my primary doctors mention of PTSD), but my MH...

I just couldn't suck it up any more ...

This statement about CRDP confuses me. Ill likely be medically retired at 17 1/2 years, E-8, and I'm guessing 30% DOD and 80% VA...with 70% CRSC. That totals approx. $3600/mon for me. Would it be more advantageous to push to 20 as an E-8 and take CDRP over CRSC? Won't they come out...

    New guy. PTSD "faking normal"

UPDATE: So, Doc #1 wrote and submitted NARSUM for Reactive Airway Disorder and Periodic Leg Movement Disorder. It was written to draw attention to my chronic PTSD issue without actually talking about it. PEBLO was assigned appx. 25APR15. MEB is on hold until a NARSUM is written and submitted...

NYT: As Stress Drives Off Drone Operators, Air Force Must Cut Flights

Little known fact...half of the RPA mission is actually downrange. Many folks would volunteer for a deployment simply to get a break from operations at Creech. I did twice. I go back again.

NYT: As Stress Drives Off Drone Operators, Air Force Must Cut Flights

danieldresen...it's a good job. But, it wears you down. Rotating shifts, long commutes, crap bases, super compartmentalization, not to mention watching in HD while the hellfire or GBU you guide in turns enemy into little chunks of meat......over and over and over again. Intel only does so...
