  • Ok I am sorry that it has taken me sooo long to get back to you. I forgot that I had posted here and just ran back onto this site. So allow me to catch you up to speed and ask another question. I was awarded CRSC at 90% with a monthly $1190 payment. I was retired at 60% with a $1834 payment that I do not get since I recieve VA at 100% with a wife and 5 kids. Do those numbers look right to you? As I was looking at the CRSC statement I noticed that on the bottom that it says "unemployability NO" Can you tell me what that is? I have called DFAS and got the Pvt salute or "oh that is your service who did that so you need to call them." I have been "unemployable" by the VA for 3 years! And if it said "yes" would that be a larger monthly award? If so do you know how much? I am trying to ensure that I get what I should. No more no less. And my wife is unemployed now so any bit helps.
    Thanks for you time.
    Don
Your "offset" is method A $601. What this means for you is whatever your combat related injuries combine to, i.e. 70% (1409.00), you must subtract $601 from that amount and that will be your CRSC amount. Your CRSC also can' exceed $1130 beacuse that is you years of service retirement amount, based off a 20 year retirement. I will be able to tell you your actual CRSC amount once I know your combat related disabilities and the percentages that go with them. James
aisniper, leave me a list of the disabilities that you have been awarded, that are combat related and the percentage for each of them and I will let you what, if any, your CRSC should be. I will do my best to assist you from here and I also recommend that you get in contact with the nearest DAV representative in your local area to help out as well. The nearest Rep can be found by look on Disabled American Veterans. This is free for you to use. James
