If it's the same thing as a functional evaluation, I just had one done a few months back as part of my package. They did the ROM there, and I answered a bunch of questions, then did a slew of tests to measure my ability to lift, squeeze, move, etc. I have cervical herniations with neuralgia...

IDES is the new system, and to sum it up roughly, you get your VA ratings at the same time that you get your DoD rating. Needless to say, this takes a little longer for initial results to come back. I am not under the new system however, so am no expert on it.

I'm going old school, no IDES for me. So with IDES do you have a better feel for the PEB outcome because of the VA rating?
