Interesting. I suspected your CDB was your indicator. Surprisingly after reading your response, my orders came in. When did vMPF generate an outprocessing checklist?
Got my "special" orders today. Literally a memo saying I'll be released from active duty on 27 NOV 17, short and simple and not like PCS orders. Your PEBLO will forward them to you, they won't be on vMPF. A little farther back than anticipated, but the end is officially on the books. Received...
Question,
How did you find out that your orders had been sitting with your PEBLO for two weeks? Did you call someone at AFPC or something? Also did your CDB (career data brief) on vMPF reflect a retirement date?
Also when you get proposed ratings, your original case closes/goes historical while another case is opened up in ebenefits. This is the case that will close up once you submit your DD214. From my understanding, they don't do another full on reevaluation. It's just for continuity to get you out...
SPECMEC is spot on. Everything I've seen from folks on here is 30 days, but of course prepare for the worst. If you separate 27 OCT, your first VA pay period starts 1 NOV. since you get paid for the previous month, your first direct deposit will hit your account 1 DEC for NOV.
Was this at your C&P exams? Did they use a goniometer to measure your ROM? If they didn't you can use that as your defense on to why you feel your ROM wasn't recorded right.
I was referred for only my left knee. Range of Motion (ROM) and instantly can both be rated on one joint, that's why I had two separate ratings. The PEB combined both. But yes always fight for a bilateral knee claim if you can. I tried for both knees but they wouldn't budge.
This whole time I've been feaking out for no reason. I had two claims for my knees, one that was 40% and the other 10%. I was really confused and didn't know which one was going to be my DoD but it doesn't matter now...they took both! 50% DoD and 100 % VA. Signed and done. Thank you all for...
Don't sweat it, you're trying to add not take away unfitting conditions. They'll know your stance/argument going in. If I have to go FPEB, I'll be hiring my own lawyer. OAC has already left a bad taste in my mouth, they never reviewed my IMR when I pinged them three times. Tight ship they run there.
Thank you, words of incouragement are greatly appreciated. I try to take everyone's timelines with a grain of salt, but it's still frustrating seeing others ahead when you were the one originally ahead!
