    PTSD service dog

I trained my dog to be a service dog as well. The ADA simply requires that the user has a disability and that the dog is trained to assist with that disability. Take a quick look through the ADA's site on service dogs and you'll see how basic it is.

    Anyone w/Knee Disability?

eBenefits never updated the tracking of my board. I checked it every single day and it never moved. Then I got the call saying it was done and that was a bit of a surprise. I submitted my board in mid-June, got my answer back a few days ago. I had sixteen conditions, one of which is a knee. From...

Mine are together as well, though I do believe they are separate issues. They definitely aggravate each other but after talking with the PEBLO, I decided to leave them as one condition to increase the DoD/VA rating and likelihood of being found unfit.

If you're still up a tree, send me a message and I'll ask the two guys I work with where they got their dogs. I only remember that one got his from the Lejeune area.

    Preliminary Ratings

I've learned to take absolutely nothing for granted unless it's signed in triplicate, in hand, endorsed by a lawyer, and blessed by Don Juan. Even then, I'd still be a bit nervous.

    Unfit...

I looked at my case on the VA Benefits website every day for the two months that it was up there. Mine never left the "under review" stage. I checked it again just now and it still hasn't moved. I have my findings in my hand.

    Preliminary Ratings

With the new system, the DoD typically rates the same as the VA. If you don't like the numbers, talk to a PEB lawyer. Do not, do not, do not sign your findings without talking to a lawyer.

    PEBLO MIA

It's not uncommon... I went through several as well over the 18 months in the system.

The note says no diagnosis. I actually believe that isn't an unreasonable finding because I didn't do very well in the VA mental health exam. When the P&C exams were scheduled, I was simply given the time and what hospital to go to. I wasn't the least bit prepared to talk and the doctor I talked...

My referred conditions are left and right knee PFS with tendonitis. Bilateral chondromalacia. The DoD also mentioned my back pain but said it was not unfitting. VA conditions and ratings are as follows: Left and right knee condition mentioned above at 0% Right shoulder rotator cuff tendonitis...

What do you want to do? There's a ton of options out there... what part of the country do you want to be in? Get in contact with VA reps for hiring. They have great contacts.

Hello to all, I'm a first time poster here but I've been lurking behind the scenes reading the forum for quite a while. I received my ratings from the IPEB this morning. I looked at the paper, looked at the PEBLO, asked if I was seeing this right, then just laughed at it. The DoD rated me...
