Hey man, just saw your post - thought I'd reach out for a quick intro and a few follow-ups. I'm a TACP as well - 116 ASOS out of the WA ANG before taking an IG job closer to home in Spokane, WA. Was Hawk 88 at Hurby before training moved to Lackland.
I was just found unfit by the IPEB but haven't gotten my official ratings back yet. I went through the IDES despite having 100% P&T rating going into it. The C&P examiner played some games and minimized a bunch of conditions that were previously rated much higher than the VA and are directly contradictory to my medical records.
Can you describe the process of submitting the VARR? The wrinkle in my situation is that I likely also need to go to an FPEB for a Prior Service Condition (PSC) determination for a shoulder injury/surgeries that were included in the list of unfitting conditions on the 618, but I don't have an LOD for (Guard process). My understanding is that I can submit this to SAF/PC after the IPEB but before the FPEB. The question I have is the timing and sequencing of the VARR and SAFPC appeal for the shoulder. Not sure if you can comment on it, but I appreciate your perspective on the VARR regardless.
