I was just reading over some of the post I submitted to this fourm, wow last one in Sept 2009... Its been a long haul and a depressing one, many appeals that were denied, then a appeal to the PDBR and in 2014 I got a notice that the PDBR has found that I should be medically retired at 70%.

Everybody situation is different, I would have taken the 30% at my PEB to get med retirement. My time line started in 2006, so weight your options. I just received notification my application was received at the PDBR intake unit. Letter states it could take approximately 15 months to finalize.

The VA appeal I filed came back after at 60%.

I was extended twice while I was going through MEB/PEB I was in PA NG.

I can tell you from experience it is not automatic, I was rated 30% from Phila VA for a service connected injury that I filed on my own. Later I was sent for a MEB/PEB with the NG and was found unfit for duty, sent through the DOD/VA pilot program at Ft Meade. Was then sent to Baltimore...

VA sent me a new SOC this one changes my 0% rating to 50% and back dates it to date left active duty. But it only addresses one condition not both that I appealed. If I take this I should now be medically retired right? Any one going through this process?

Has anyone appealed there ratings from the DOD/VA pilot program?

You can request a copy any time you have a claim. It took me over a year to get it, when I requested my C-file from the Philadelphia VA I was told 3 months later they could not give it to me because Blatimore VA had it for the DOD/VA pilot program.

FYI About a year ago I requested a copy of my C-file from the VA so I could prepare for my MEB/PEB. I received it yesterday. I started going through it and found that I was denied a claim because of a medical opinion from a VA examiner. The VA examiner stated my secondary condition was not...

Update: My DRO was denied I now have a Statement of the Case and will have to file an appeal. I will update when I get to next step.
