just did it. THanks for the advice. After submitting it said an answer to me in 5 business days..
Does anybody here have experience with the fromal board at Lewis? I received my 199 50% PTSD Army, 90% VA, and am going to appeal the TDRl. The tenative next follow up appt if I signed is Sept 13 " A month and a half before my 20" I am going to ask "well demand" that I be aloud 10 more months to get to my 20 years. We'll see how that works out. I have been identifeied for QMP becuase of my last Fn NCOER. So I dont belive I will be aloud COAD, but I read the MIlPer msg that since I have allready been found unfit that the QMP will stop. Any help will be great.

Not into much of a hurry especially since I need to find a job now and be ready to exit the army. Its a good feeling knowing it will be over soon. I only have 10 days of leave so hopefully the commander will give m the 29 days of permissive TDY. I am in the Army reserves and in the CBWTU-CA so hopefully the commander will be good about it and let me have the 29 day of permissive TDY giving me that extra time to hunt for a job.

My ebonies say the same gathering evidence but my MSC told me do not look at it because VA only knows status of military members that are out already. So it can get a little confusing, you should hear something soon at least on the proposed ratings, use your MSC to check on the VA status, that is the best way to find out what is going on with the ratings. Peblo don't know the answer as they are not trained in that area and can only look at EPUB which I believe is the application allowing them to see if any updates on the packet.

I don't know about any other PEBLO but I know my peblo is able to look in to the VA the same way my MSC can, actually when I talked to a va rep last week she told me that it was noted that my proposed rating was released to PEBLO but not available to MSC
What kind of "insight" are you asking for? The PEB can't change your percentage and has no authority to extend you till your 20 years. A COAD is possible and shouldn't be ruled out. You also can't challenge the TDRL (unless you want to be found "Fit") - Your PTSD condition quite probably resulted in the TDRL (by law).
My PEB Lawyer told me that the peb can do Transition oreder to take me to my 20 year mark. That would only prob be 6 or less months. If that is not so then I REALLY need to know. I have LORs from three proir officers for COAD. That is Nov9 2013. I know I cant fight TDRL. I am not really fighting the VA the rate untill I am retiredthe rate is 90%. I have submitted my 4187 for LOS retirement. If aprooved I know they can give a presumtion of fittness. Hopefullt it will be aprooved. I was also notified I would be QMPd because of the relalitory NCOER I got, but as I understand it that prosses will not happen because I was found unfit before I was notified of QMP. I did reed that because of QMP a soldier in the MEB can'not submit for COAD, but I dont think that aplies to me because I was already found unfit before being notified of it. Maybe Jason can weigh in on all this. I demanded a formal board. My PEBLO tells me I prob wont have a date to apear untill March. Really what I am wondering is will these 3 COLs just say tough dude there is nothing we can do, or will they work with me. I do know I can appeal to the Army disability Agency after the formal PEB. All in all I am fighting for my last 10 months. If the Army does not let achive it I will contact my congressmen and senators. I will contact the news in every state, and town I have family. I will let EVRYBODY I posibly can know what is being done to me. Since all this has started and my hole career I hvae done the right thing. How in the HELL could a wonded and decorated soldier with over 19 years not be aloud to do his last 10 months.
Thats a little lengthy dont you think? 1-2 months before they finally give me my proposed ratings.. its been there since 7 Nov.It'll be about 1-2 months
Actually they do, they have the same access as the msc, it's the vta system, although a lot of peblos don't like to give out info for the va side, mine actually showed me the vta and all the notes from the va reviewers along the way
Being that the status changed, on Friday last week. The break down will be 14-30 days for the PEB to "receive" it, then a week or less to review and assign the ratings. Then 1-4 weeks at the DA199 writer, then another week till you get a call.... So... about 1-2 months. You may get lucky and have the VA proposed ratings sent to your house, and even luckier and your PEBLO will call you and tell you both ratings over the phone when it hits the ePEB.
This is news to me since PEBLO's are supposed to be seperate from the VA rating system...
If i decide to sign the 199 next week, what is the next step and how long?
