So my claim status updated to "Preparation for Notification" on Thursday, and today it still is in the prep for notification phase, but now there is a link which says "view required evidence". When I click on the link it brings me to the overview of what the VA received which isn't any different than it has been for months.

What exactly am I reviewing and what (if anything) do I need to do at this point?

Can anyone help me out?

I checked mine as well. Mine says and does the same thing as yours, but mine is still in the Pending Decision Approval phase since 19 April. I spoke to the VA (thru 1-800 - number ) last week and Peggy informed me that my rating was done on 9 May and the packet had been sent to the PEB for rating approval. On your question, I think it is a general computer system/software upgrade where the VA attempts to make the process more transparent for us. My take is if they needed something from you, they would use other channels such as your PEBLO or your MSC to request more info. Not everyone going through the MEB has an eBenefits account.

jp - are you already out, or waiting? If you haven't received anything within the week, I'd file a FOIA request for the decision documents with your VARO.

Mine shows the same - if you have any additional information that you feel needs to be submitted, send it to the VA. If you do not - wait for your packet to arrive in the mail and go visit you County Veteran's Service Officer. He/She will assist in filling out any forms you need and submitting them to the VA.

Good luck!!

I stand corrected. I read up on OP's prior postings and it seems that he was NG and was separated as medically unfit, but not through an MEB. J-MN is on point. OP may need to investigate his issue further. As for me and others who are still on active duty orders, if any further information is required, the PEBLO or MSC should make contact with the service members. E-Benefits seems to be a work-in-progress still, and personally, I do not put too much faith in its information since it is always behind the power curve. However, I do pray that everyone reading this posting signs up for an eBenefits account (www.ebenefits.va.gov). I find it gives me some level of security that my MEB packet is moving forward (albeit slowly) and it's FREE.

I just noticed that my Ebenefits says the same thing and I was wondering why all the sudden it said "View Required Evidence" under Action. I called the VA today and they were unable to give me any new information.

What are they asking for in the "View Required Action"? - mine has said that for about 2 months - they put canned requests in there even when they have all the data they need - sometime for active duty they are waiting for your 214 to be processed.

Don't sweat it - if you're due retro they'll have to get a few signatures. Also, if you have retired pay, they have to bounce the decision to DFAS to make sure you don't owe any debt to the gov't. Messed up, but that's what I've been told by DFAS reps...
