SECAF TIMELINE/ Struggling

Appealed to Secaf in November 2010 . It has been 13 months . Still no word . I see that some troops are getting their decisions back earlier . This seems like an eternity . Any help im tired and just wanting to here something.

If your pay could end as a result of the decision, then sit tight and keep getting paid. If you just want an answer so you can get on with life, you can send them a letter asking for a status update (maybe they lost it)... The address is:

My cases are coming back from SAFPC in the 14-16 month time range. I would not be overly concerned, it just takes them a long time to process rebuttals in the AF.

im not an expert, but the first thing that pops to my mind when i see something wrong, is fix it or get it fixed or addressed.

also, would you mind sharing your time-line from meb to the end of your SECAF results?
 
Since I have a dual action case at the SECAF I don't get to appeal, but my case has been at SECAF since around Aug 2010. (No one will give me any credible information). The administrative portion came to the Wing level back mid-Novemeber with a typo on it for a correction. I assume it went back up quickly and I imagine it has been back at SECAF since then. Still no word as of today (06 Jan 12).

new one on me, if you do not mind, What do you mean by dual action case?
 
Dual action pertains to a possible medical separation (due to not being worldwide qualified) taking place prior to a administrative discharge I.E. failing PT tests. Essentially two types of separation reasons are taking place and medical should precede administrative. Personnel who have a medical condition or are even petitioning for length of service (16-20 years) will have records reviewed by SECAF. For instance personnel who have between 16-20 years of service can petition for probationary period for reasons of failing a PT test and they are trying to get to their retirement window. Reference AFI 36-3208 section 6E Dual Action Processing

As of today, my dual action case has been at SECAF for approximately 6 months and still have not heard anything back. Only 3 months until I'm voluntary retirment eligible. Wondering if someone is sitting on it for that reason alone....DIVINE INTERVENTION ?!?!
 
UPDATE for those following....

Word came back from SECAF today. Medical Retirement 50%. Now to get things in line for VA.
