Hi all,

First thread and I hope it helps others. If it's a little jacked up, I apologize. This is my best timeline from looking at documents.
My PEBLO is stellar so if there are any questions, I'll do my best to answer them.

LIMDU:

End: April 2025

MEB/PEB:

DES Referral: 5/20/2025

MEBAA Concurred: 5/20/2025

Enrolled in DES: 5/27/2025

All C&P Exams Completed in June/July

IDES Enrollment: 9/24/2025

VA proposed rating: 10/4/2025 (100% P&T)

Forwarded to PEB: 11/13/2025

PEB Accepted: 11/27/2025

On 1/12 I spoke with my PEBLO for an update and they said the PEB had downloaded my files for action. Expected to know DOD rating this week or next.

I'll keep y'all updated and would love to hear everyone else's timeline. This has been a long process, and I've done my best to have patience and stay healthy.

How did you get the VA proposed rating so early? Also it looks like our time lines for the PEB are identical where are you at in the process currently?

I am not sure, but it feels like mine was done backwards. I had 5 C&P exams through VES and asked them to schedule them ASAP. Not sure if it helped or not.

Last I heard from my PEBLO is they were working on my file as of yesterday. Should be signing papers this week or next for ratings.

Did you get your proposed rating from your PEBLO? I called the VA and had them send me the PDF with proposed ratings directly since its been hard to speak with my PEBLO. It said 100%, but didnt specify P&T. Did yours specify P&T?

My PEBLO said they could see it in my file and that it was P&T. I believe to find out if you're P&T it's in the wording of your disabilities as being "static" or not. I'd have to confirm that though. I can't get the VA to send me anything lol. What did you say?

As I was. VA sent me my proposal when I called just now. To know if you're P&T or not it will say under the paragraph "For Department of VA benefits, proposed eligibility to dependent's..." it talks about benefits and what you're proposed and if it's likely to improve or not. Lemme know if this helps

I see your message saying you were able to get the VA to send you your propsed ratings. I'm glad you were able to get it taken care of.
In case anyone else is having the same issue and seeing this post:
When I called the VA, I told them I see on VA.gov that my claim is closed and I can view my proposal letter online. However, when I open it, there isn't any information avaliable for me to see (which is correct for my case). I asked if they were able to email me my proposal. They said yes, send it to the email that was on file for my account, and 20-30 minutes later it arrived in my email inbox.


Also, this is what my VA disability proposal says, "We are proposing that your total combined rating for service-connected disabilities is 100%. If the proposed rating is implemented, as long as there are no changes to your condition, you may be entitled to monthly VA compensation in the amount of $4,298.04 (based on the current statutory rates of disability compensation) after discharge from service.
Veterans with a service-connected condition rated 30% or more may be entitled to additional compensation for eligible dependents."

Based on the knowledge you provided, it seems like I will be P&T, but I'm still not sure

Hey thanks for this info, I have a question. Are you able to see your proposed rating breakdown paper that most veterans get in the mail? I’m being told by my PEBLO I can’t see the breakdown till after the PEB comes back with findings. The VA won’t send to me saying I won’t have access to a breakdown of benefits since the rating is only proposed and “not the real thing”. Wondering is that’s the same for you, I would really love to see what percentage they gave for my referred condition(s). Thanks!

So I can see the proposed rating for each condition, 0’s and what they decided to not service connect in the PDF I got from the VA. (Which is crazy since I joined when I was 18 and my entry physical has me in mere perfect condition)

It doesn’t mention my proposed pay like it does for the warrior above.

This whole process seems ass backwards to me. Every PEBLO has a different method, every VA rep tells SM’s a different excuse as to why we can’t see our proposal. I’m sure they receive calls about it all day, but the procedures for being in the IDES; and what the PEBLOS can or cannot share should be written in stone.

My PEBLO was able to tell me my proposed rating monthhhhs ago but the VA didn’t crack until I called a second time. I didn’t even mention IDES, I just said I was looking to get my letter since it never showed up in the mail and I recently moved(which is true).

This was my verbiage that Indicated P&T

“Basic eligibility for Dependents’ Educational Assistance is proposed as the evidence shows permanent and total service connected disabilities.”

“Evidence we have used to grant permanent and total disability status: Your VA examinations resulted in an overall combined evaluation of 100 percent and there is no evidence of record showing any service-connected disability affecting your combined evaluation of 100 percent is likely to improve in the future.”

Mine doesn’t mention an actual $ value which is strange. How many different versions of these letters are there lol

Awesome! I think I’m at 72. Do you know what day you were found unfit? I know I was 1/12. Hopefully I’m close behind.

2/10 EAS changed to Feb 27th. Got 17 days till EAS. Taking PTAD till then. Getting DD-214 and official out orders tomorrow. Phewwwww. Not even enough time to take all my PTAD lol

Yes. To be fair I didn’t give anyone a chance to say no. DMO put me on the “list” for counseling’s so I walked in and said I start PTAD today. Chased everyone and anyone down that I needed signatures from. Checked out and got all I needed from IPAC in 1 go.

Only thing that surprised me was my EAS was sooner than all my PTAD and leave combined. Not that upset. Been waiting for this for almost 2 years lol.

MMSR4 bullied themselves I guess. I emailed my PEBLO I concurred yesterday around noonish and she said if I press the button you could have orders/Retirement date within 24-72 hours. So all my rushing was IPAC and below.

She said the new system in place is extremely fast

Mine said 30-45 days but I also got 10 and 90
