Have you heard anything about orders with the shutdown now being over ? I’ve been waiting since 30 Sept for mine and no guidance has been passed down .

He/she isnt at the orders stage yet. They are processing orders though for the USAF, and i believe MEBd people get orders through MSD, not the MPF, so the backlog might be better.

I was told that it would take a month or so for my claims to be sent to the VA after completing all of my exams. I called QTC (exam vendor) today and was told that they should be sent to the VA NLT than Thursday (8 business days after my last exam) and if the VA doesn’t have my claims, I can call to get my claims expedited! Please make sure you’re staying on top of your timeline!

Thanks for sharing. I’ve been wondering if it’s even allowed or acceptable to call the exam vendor directly (Optum in my case).

Work with your MSC on this one. Your MSC can also provide you with copies of your DBQ’s

True. I asked my PEBLO if she would let me look at them just for planning ahead purposes since there was a "delay". Got them no issue when i asked.

Yesterday I called Optum about the final evidence upload. They confirmed they got it on 25 Nov.
I almost asked if they already pushed the package to VA. Just did not have enough judgement if that would be appropriate.

Called the exam vendor to get my claims expedited to the VA and now all my exams went from "Active" to "Complete"! Now it's time to wait for the email from my MSC that the claims are uploaded!

Edit: I know I'm pretty excited to still be pretty early in the process. I know that waiting for my percentages and orders will be a while but I'm happy because rather than my claims being done at the end of this month, that leaves more time before 30 Jan and another gov shutdown situation. I want them to get as much done as they can before that lol

im hoping that i can get through this before the next shutdown too, it already delayed the process once.

I'm curious.. Is there another forum where members going through a medboard talk about their plans after duty if they're found unfit, our benefits (unemployment, VR&E) etc.? Reddit is cool but this forum is more focused for the crowd that I fit into. I want to go to school.. BAH and a degree on top of my experience doesn't sound too bad lol..

There’s a couple Facebook groups that I’m in that discuss this

please shareee :)
VA Claims and Benefits-Ask Your Questions, Veterans Benefits, Jobs for Transitioning Military & Veterans. There a lot more out there that I’ve seen but I’m not in. Also there’s multiple groups that deal in med board info much like in here…Military Medical Separation/Retirement, Disability Evaluation System (DES-MEB), Armed Forces Medboard Info Sharing

Idk if something is wrong with me but i cant honestly stand those veteran groups . It seems alot of it is people who have no real claims but try to ask how to get 100% . It makes people who didnt have to try to play the system look bad in the public eye because all they see is everyone aiming for the 100% with no evidence

You’re absolutely right there are people like that in those groups but there is also a lot of good information in there. You gotta take the good with the bad

16 Dec Update: I got my DBQs from my PEBLO today. I'm kinda disappointed with some of the findings but I'll wait to see my rating.. PEBLO told me that my local package should be reviewed on Thursday and I'll have it for signature either same day or Friday! With my package going up around this time, I'm looking to get my DoD rating back at the end of next month!

Dec 19, 2025 - Case sent to IPEB, meeting with PEBLO to review documents before signing.

Had the meeting with my PEBLO yesterday and we discussed a general timeline of 4-8 weeks for hearing back from the PEB. I'm hoping that since I'm only referred for the one condition, that they just get my case out the way. PEBLO informed me that we would go to the Formal Board if I receive anything less than 20%. Only thing that's in my way now is another potential gov shutdown. If everything goes smoothly, I'm looking to get out NLT Late Mar, Early Apr with PTDY and terminal included.
