I have a question regarding how CRSC Backpay is calculated? I have been awarded CRSC and am now trying to figure out if I should receive CRSC Backpay. Anyone have any insight?

The effective date for your CRSC will be shown the approval letter from the CRSC board.
Generally
The CRSC for one month for a Chapter 61 disability retirement is the LESSER (lower amount) of
—the amount shown in the VA compensation tables for the approved CRSC percentage
OR
—the longevity portion of your retired pay:
Actve duty or AD equivalent years x 2.5% (2% for blended retirement) = longevity multiplier
Longevity multiplier x average high three base pay = longevity portion of retirement
High three average base pay is the total of the highest 36 months of military pay divided by 36.

Thank you for the information. However, I am looking more into Backpay. If my CRSC award is $100 per month, would I receive $100 x 72 (going back 6 year)?
To determine the backpay one has to know the current pay.
You could use the current rate as you suggest and get a general idea. For a more accurate computation, you would have to reduce the amount associated with COLA for each separate period.
I don’t compute retro COLA, not even my own. Others might be able to help you with the extended computation.
