you are correct in all your assumption. You cannot apply for retirement with a code 37 and your 19 year mark holds no special powers, unless you had a dos one year from that mark for HYT or something like that.
 
Also LAS might be an option for you if you have CC and CFM support and your condition is stable since you must be on the PDRL list to apply, TDRL s not eligible for LAS.
 
So really, I'm hosed based on timing and have to really hope they just return me to duty. If they MEB me and AF finds less than 30%, I'm essentially shown the door with some severance pay and a "thanks for trying". If they find me more than 30%, then I lose out on what could potentially be a significant amount of money over the rest of my lifetime.

Also, I'm not familiar with the LAS acronym. What's that?
 
Limited assignment status....for those with Over 15 years of servic...but it’s not a guarantee and should be considered a last resort. And you must accept tthe boards findings before you even apply. Your in a tough spot in terms of timing for sure, you need to Decide how likely retention will be and plan your actions accordingly
 
Just found out the package was submitted to AFPC on the 20th, and they have 10 business days to respond. I should know which way they are going to go by end of next week, so that's something.

IF the DoD rating is 30% or more, your retired pay multiplier is the higher of the DoD disability percentage or the longevity multiplier..example 19 years x 2.5% = 47.5%

As you likely know, the retired pay will be reduced by the amount of VA compensation received and CRDP will not apply since you would have less than 20 years for a regular retirement.

If eligible, approved CRSC could replace some of the waived retired pay. See A Supplement to CRSC Information <---LINK

Yes! Thank you for asking. Return to duty with a C code. I applied for and was approved for a 1 July 2021 retirement date!
