Second IDES Claim Went Historical After One Day

Hey guys, I'm another one of those lurkers that finally decided to post. There's a ton a great information here and I appreciate everyone's input, past, present, and future.

Quick question: I've read that if a second (IDES) claim is opened in eBenefits, that you were likely found unfit. Well, I noticed that I had a new IDES claim yesterday with a date of 9-Dec. However, when I checked this morning, it's already gone Historical without any other information. I checked the Disabilities page as well as the Letter Generator and didn't see anything. Can anyone explain to me what might be going on? I haven't heard anything from my PEBLO on whether I'm fit/unit, and like everyone else, I'm tired of waiting.

By the way, my avatar is almost ten years old and I don't know how to change it. I'm assuming it's associated with my email account. I searched the settings and didn't see where to change it. If anyone could chime in on that too, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Ebenefits may not be a good resource to see your claim if undergoing and MEB. It's not accurate if you are going through the MEB. You can always call to check the status of your claim.

So I took a look at my ebenefits because I am in your same situation (this is my second claim filed) . It is also under historical claims but my status states Gathering of Evidence. So if this is the case for you they should have your new (same claim). Or you can always call. Hope this helps.
 
Click on your username on the top right then account settings you can see where you can change your avatar.
