Los Angeles Timeline

Maybe if I stay this way... this is a temporary thing though. Once the triple stress of losing a lot of my Army pay, moving across country and finding/starting a new job all with uncertain timelines is gone I'll be a lot better.

My MSC said that they have 15 business days to adjudicate my case and then it would be sent to my PEBLO and the Army has 10 and then, finally, I'll find out what my numbers are. After it is adjudicated if feels like it is a big secret that everyone is in on except for me. Is there someone in the VA that I would be able to call and get my proposed ratings during this time?

I'm losing so much sleep on this that it is getting toxic for everything/one.

Check vets.gov. If it shows your claim as 'closed' then you can get your proposed ratings from your MSC. I picked mine up today and I still haven't heard anything from my PEBLO. The VA completed my ratings on the 15th of February.

Mine says closed on feb24th on vets.gov and my MSC won't give me any kinda information she told me my peblo will call me when everything is received

That's bullshit! My MSC was like, "let me pull that up for you". He told me everything over the phone. Then I called him yesterday and asked for a hard copy and he said, "no problem".

Yea after reading the posts on here I thought she would have been really helpful and I called her up and she acted like why the fuck am I bothering her

Mine, on email, was professional - but said that he couldn't share that info when it hit is desk, I would have to wait for the Army to notify me.

Still no movement on eBenefits. On 16MAR the VA hits the 15 business days (which took them 3 weeks after they received the packet to start counting... but whatever) that the MSC said it would take for them.

I need help developing a good guess when I can start work. I know this is a shot-in-the-dark thing to do. I made one of those guesses of 15APR several months ago when applying for a job. I have a second interview on Thursday and I'm sure start date is going to come up. I think this is the only sticking point - and if it wasn't for this I will be getting an offer. I know 15APR is out - what do y'all seem as a reasonable date to tell them. Pretend I'm not taking PTDY.

I am in the same boat, got an offer for a job, told them 01May I would be available. Thought it was a safe date since my VA ratings were completed 16 Feb, heard nothing from the PEB about my 199, this is week 4. Looks like I won't make that date and I have stopped applying due to unknown availability date.

So frustrating that the army does not communicate and the PEBLO is clueless. Wish I could contact the PEB in San Antonio

This is the week... I can feel it. Come'on VA.
They asked about my timeline at the interview saying they wanted to fill the positions ASAP. I told them that I am looking at 15MAY now. They didn't seem too pleased about the month slip. But it is what it is. The VA and the Army can take as long as they want and then once they are done I'm given a short-notice hard timeline. Grumble. Going to be a tough day to not be bitter.

I waited 9 weeks for my 199 but my peblo gave me my ratings after 3 weeks. It's the "new" system that has everything all messed up supposedly. Personally I think it's the military screwing people over one last time

Yes, the military has to screw us over one last time! Was you're PEB in San Antonio? Only the army is dumb enough to not have a good alternate solution

I'm on day 49 of the 15 day goal for the VA step.
The company looking at me is flying me out to visit the plant... I'm expecting a job offer since I've already interviewed twice... except they are not happy without a firm commitment to a date. I feel like my only option is to tell them that the date is solid and only tell them if it slips.
I'm out of patience. This process is taking years off my life.

Got a call from my MSC on Tuesday... VA proposed ratings are done. 100% for my unfitting condition! I was expecting 70. What a great call that was. Here's to a quick shoot through the rest of the process!

Signed my 199.

100% TDRL

Congratulations. Your road was long and convoluted. Glad the finish line is in sight!
