Same boat mine was sent up in Sept and absolutely no information... depressing when I see marines on these threads saying they had packages sent up in Jan and already got results.
It is depressing seeing that. Mine was sent in September as well. I started everything in June. For the original poster, my timeline is below.
Looks like 3 months for me. Would have been longer the military PEBLOs had my ratings already when I called them. And he happened to say fuck it come in. It probably would have been a couple more weeks.. who knows.
Yea man I agree its a shitty process let me know if you here anything and ill let you do you know if your letter was sent from the VA to the PEB already?
damn man sorry to see that I feel like the peblos aren't there for you like they should be I gave up on them because they never answered. but were you close to your EAS or no? My problem is that my EAS is in 2 1/2 months and I really don't want to have them extend me but it looks like that might happen....
REE2012, Don't worry about being extended too much.. It's not going to be like a regular extension where you have to commit to a hard date sometime in the future. They will put a new date out there for you to get you thru the PEB but once that comes back and you accept, your EAS will be readjusted. It will be set so that you have enough time to take PTAD, leave, and check out.
Have you done TRS yet? if not, sign up right now.. In the Lejeune area they are full until like June. Go see the Career Planner if you haven't done so already and they will assist in getting you on the list.

Okay that eases some nerves and yes I have done TRS im just waiting like everyone else here...Thank you for the responses its nice when you know other people are in the same boat or were in your case congrats on getting you ratings!
Unfortunately I haven't gotten anything official yet. I was lucky enough to get someone at the VA to give me my proposed overall which was 90%. From that I can guess what the DOD rate is but still not positive.
I'm most interested in the combat related / non-combat related determination. For me that is going to be huge because I have over 20yrs LOS and possibly 70% DOD (I hope). Quite a tax break I should think.
Looking at other posts on the forum it seems as though they are making service members fight for that..
Which I don't understand after reading the criteria. Seems like the indirect fire events (the case I fall in) are the ones they like to rate as non combat related especially in regards to PTSD.
If anyone has experience in that area I would like to hear what they rated yours as.

Have you checked your ebenefits to see if you have any information about them working on it yet? If it shows an update that it's with them than you are definitely unfit.
No, I wasn't close. I had about 2 years until.
Yeah I called down there to the Msgt peblo. The response he has given me the last 2 times is "what, you don't think Im doing my job?" Then changes the date of acceptance he originally told me and had told me 2 weeks prior. My S-1 was still tracking Nov 23 when he's telling me Dec. Then he tells me "call back in 2 weeks, if he hasn't called me they my have lost your package, but if your tired of waiting past your EAS you can waiver out." I was not rude to him at any point in the process, just tried getting answers.
called the VA today to ask if they lost my stuff The lady I spoke with said they must be a big backlog for Sept packages but couldn't give any details She also said packages are first come first out basis.
Damn man what does your ebenefits say? The VA is weird its a hit or miss on who wants to help you. My package was sent up the beginning of November and the proposed rating letter was sent back to the PEB for post QA... But ive called VA before and they tell me they haven't received my package and I call again and they say its been rated and ill call again and say it hasn't so its a hit or miss man.

I agree with USDevilDawgMC check your ebenefits. My package has been sent up since Nov and I still haven't been told if im fit or unfit but it has been rated by the VA. In most cases if your found fit the PEB will send it back to the PEBLO and they'll inform you, that turn around time is usually a month or two.
After my unfit memo, I heard back about my proposed percentages within 2 weeks.
ebenefits say gathering evidence and missing paper work from others but, it has said that for 2 and 1/2 months now maybe longer, that was just the first time I checked it.
Yea, if I were you would just give the VA a call a couple of times and see what info you gather from them directly.
