Opinions please ...

So, the VA finished rating my case a month ago and I have heard nothing. I emailed my PEBLO this morning to see if it would be frowned upon if I contacted the PEB to find out if something was wrong, and this is what she said:

"Yes it would be, and the PEB would address it with me. The PEB does not have your VA rating as of yet, I e-mailed them this morning checking on it. The DRAS has completed, but the PEB has not received it yet. They have sent 2 inquires off to the VA, and have not received it yet. There is nothing wrong and this is not uncommon, there are 22,000+ Soldiers in iDES, and it just takes time."

My question to anybody here is - If the DRAS is complete, and the PEB has sent multiple inquiries to the VA about my packet but still hasnt seen it yet - do you think something is wrong? Or is it really that common since "there are 22,000+ Soldiers in iDES, and it just takes time." ??

I just hate not knowing what is going on... I am trying to be patient but this is literally driving me up the wall. It wouldn't be as bad if I actually had a job where I could keep occupied all day ... but I literally sit in a cubicle and google random things. All day, every day.

Any input would be great.

I just completed the IDES (NOT impressed). I also found out my rating before my PEBLO. I found out in October and my final decision from PEBLO was not received until Feb! I understand they have 22,000 but if they had better PEBLO's they could clear out much more soldiers in a shorter time frame. It is NOT uncommon, so don't stress yourself like I have. I was given 20% for my ankle that I had 3 surgeries on. The last surgery was not put in and when I asked my PEBLO he said to appeal it. I am so done with this system, I said NO appeal, I am in the processing of retiring and will file the appeal with VSO. I wish you the best, and please don't stress yourself. It took 2 months for the PEBLO to give final rating. Not sure why.

Josh,

Seems as though your moving right along with the IDES system. You must not have the same PEBLO that I had. He and I went round and around, so just for good measure I emailed him this morning to see if he missed my Louisiana sarcasm! I'm sure he will pass out when he opens his email in the morning.
