Indeed, this is a validate assumption since the PEBLO should inform when your signed DA Form 199 was transmitted to the USAPDA for final review and processing.

As such afterwards, the PEBLO should provide information that your installation's retirement service office (RSO) or military transition office shall receive a TRANSPOC-III message upon HQ USAPDA's review and approval of the DA Form 199. Unfortunately, some PEBLOs are better than others with the sharing of information in my opinion.

That said, the military RSO is the best organization to inform you about the military transitioning receipt of a TRANSPOC-III message from the HQ USAPDA in order for them to generate the follow-on DD Form 214 and the official military orders for disability retirement/separation.

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Spouse signed and emailed his 199 last night after talking with legal. Legal was pleased with his outcome, particularly since every step along the way something got messed up significantly. Spouse was informed that it would take around 10 days for him to hit the next step, and approximately 30 days after that to receive retirement orders. Up to 90 day orders are possible, but not likely.

Of his 4 referring conditions, 3 were found unfitting. Of those 3, two were combined under one rating. So he had 2 dxs unfitting and rated on the 199, both determined combat related. Rating worked out to 70%.

He also had roughly 25 other things claimed with VA. Some were combined, and some were given additional rating due to bilateral nature (both shoulders, hips, knees, and ankles being affected). Total VA rating at 100%.

Not quite done, but much closer now!

Good deal and congratulations; nearly similar to my DoD and DoVA proposed ratings! :)

Indeed, keep it up until the very end for sure; don't ease off of the gas pedal just yet! ;)

I signed my DA 199 on the 12th, my PEBLO transmitted it back to PEB on the 17th, PEB sent it to PDA on the 18th, PDA received it on the 19th. PDA confirmed on the 24th that they had it and that an analyst was working on it. Fort Myer confirmed today they had not received a TRANSPOC III message yet. I've found all the POCs, just no message yet.
 
I was told by the RSO office that my CO will be receving my "packet" email today and that after I fill that out I sould have my orders and clearing papers.
 
Got the paperwork from the Illinois DVA i think i know what is says but im not sure so i sent it to my peblo and i am just waiting on the word back. its either 90% or 100% but its the differance in over a $1000 a month
 
Peblo just called and say they rated it at 100% both sides va and army. I know this is just the proposed ratings before it goes to DA and it could be changed but im really hoping its not.

Any PEBLO should let their soldiers know that they can contact the Transition/Retirement Office regarding their name coming up on TRANSPOC

Many will sit and wait for a phone call that they can make on their own

Thats what im praying for she said it shouldnt change but because the one thing that pushed me from 90% to 100% was the bilateral factor she said its a possibility. I just hope she is just saying that to cover her ass in case it does change.
 
Congrats to everyone on finally seeing the end and the rest of us hope to get to that point as well. For the rest of us We need to just have some patience and let the VA do its job and one day we will move on to the 199 promise land.
 
My final out day will be on th 12th of march. I was hoping sooner but I finally know 11 days and a wake up!!

Has anybody had an issue with your ratings being done and ebenefits not changing or anything? I'm up to 90 days waiting on ratings now and it's still at review of evidence-evidence requested is past due. Been like that pretty much since day 1 after unfit memo. Just hoping maybe this thing is always up to date or something

Ebenefits has always seemed pretty up to date for me

I was on gathering of evedance for 4 months. Contact your peblo and see what she can see, or you could try the contacting the VA.
 
I do have one question for everyone?? Im reading the paperwork my VSO printed off of the va website it shows all of my ratings and stuff. At the top it has a box that says legacy codes and has a 1 under combat code.

Also under almost all of the ratings it says
PEB Referred Proposed DES Service Connected, Gulf War, Incurred then it has the rating

What does the Gulf War, Incurred mean?

Im kind of confused as if they found it combat related.
 
90 days isn't even that long to be waiting, it will stay at review of evidence until it goes to pending decision approval. Just be patient like everyone else and it will change
 
Well you have to have 10 days to clear so thats about right
