I just did my VA appt for psych. Am I able to get access to it and see what it says?

All you should have to do is go back to the doctors office that you went to and do a release of information.

Do you know how long it takes? Is this what is actually used to determine your ratings? Has anyone had any experience with getting a good guesstimate from what it says? I have my physical appt on wednesday, so I'm going to try and get it then.

Indeed, as grizz13 mentioned albeit you may need to wait until the results are completed and posted usually within a couple of days from my experiences throughout the DoD IDES MEB/PEB process.

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

Thank you! I'm interested to see what it says.
Even if you don't go in and get a copy, their notes for the most part will be input in the NARSUM anyways.

Indeed, from my experiences within the DoD IDES MEB/PEB process, the DoVA C&P Examination results were available within a couple of days from the final DoVA appointment at the DoVA Regional Office.

To that extent, the results of the DoVA C&P Examination(s) would yield a fairly good estimate of any potential DoVA proposed rating(s) in my opinion.

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

I already have my NARSUM. Will that be a good indicator?

A tag team response...

Indeed; therefore, you should have received a copy of the DoVA C&P Examination results from your PEBLO also.

If not, I would definitely strongly suggest that you make that inquiry to your PEBLO now!

From what I did read, I would say your rating will most likely be 30-50%. I have no info on your Fibro or any other conditions. I would need to see you NARSUM.

How could it come out to be only 30-50% when the military has to give you at minimum of 50% for PTSD?

The minimum of 50% for PTSD is if you are TDRL. And then they reevaluate you after 6 months.
That's what they are doing with me. Apparently almost everyone that gets medically retired with PTSD is placed on TDrL.

They may try to give you 30% permanent, as you GAF is considered moderate and your stressor will go away when you are out.
