For those that are familiar with asthma and the ratings associated to it I have a couple questions if you guys could provide some knowledge. I'm possibly looking at being referred to a PEB here pretty soon and the whole process is confusing and what not. I have been diagnosed with asthma and have been on Symbicort, albuterol, Montelukast, Spiriva Respimat, and cetirizine for awhile now. Just from medications alone what should I expect as a rating?

Hello, my asthma rating is 30%, I take Symbicort and albuterol. From the medications your on, I feel your on the path to 30 and above. You will have to do a PFT too. I’m sending a link that describes the ratings. Hope it helps. Now for MEB, if they find you unfit there’s your 30% and you medically retire.

I am on similar medications minus the cetirizine, and I'm also curious on the rating. Have you had to take any oral steroids due to Asthma exacerbations? I know that can also help determine what rating you get.

From my C and P exam I got 30 percent with albuterol and Symbicort. Also, I never took oral steroids.

It's been about 9 nine months since I've been given any oral steroids. I have had prednisone before in the past several times all the way back to 2018. Does anyone know exactly how that works exactly?
