Were you giving the option to stay at your current PDS and go TAD for your C&P exams (as per SECNAV 1850.1 ch.3 sub 5. a)? I am also OCONUS and want to use this policy to stay put throughout my board.I am not sure who told you that, but I do not believe it is correct. I was on Okinawa and received a tour curtailment back to the states to do the VA exams, there are no VA raters overseas. You will receive orders back to the states soon, mine took about a week after the MEB was sent to HQMC. I PCSd in June and just had my first IDES appointment here on Monday. Awaiting VA exams to be scheduled at this time.

I am certainly going to bring this up to my command and PEBLO. It would be an easier transition for me as I really don't want to move my family multiple times. I can only speak on the USMC. I PCSd to a generic HQ unit while I am attending my medical appointments. I am not in my MOS, but many of the other people here are doing their jobs in various companies.I wanted to ask, where did they have you check into? Feel free to PM me, I am also aviation. Things are moving really slow, I checked in the 1st of July and my MEDBOARD appointment for the initial eval was 14 Sept.
