US Army DES Pilot at Fort Hood

US Army DES Pilot at Fort Hood: Updated 1/06/2011 I don't know why the VA takes less time for some and more for others. Part of it might be the complexity of the conditions, evidence, and complexity. I posted two weeks ago wondering when it would happen for a decision and once it is made...

Mine went to SA TX PEB and I had unfit rating in 4 days then it went to VA where it took 3 weeks, now just waiting on orders. It all depends on the complexity of your case.

Questions about orders: What has been the average time to get orders cut? I was told 7-10 but hoping quicker. Also, I was told by transitions I can start clearing once I have orders has anyone been able to do the same thing?

Yes the MSC at the hospital has a system that shows when the DRAS site in Seattle enters in the numbers and he told them to me, then the VA sends it back to to the PEB who knocks out the 199. It happens quick when it does happen. Also if you put a call into the VA and explain what you are...

Timeline Thus Far Hope VA Moves Quick

Yes you can call VA at their 1800 # and just select 1 and then 1 takes a few to get through to them but they can tell you where you packet is and which section has it. Point of note they have ZERO timeline information or if it will be kicked back for errors. It does answer if they have the...

Timeline Thus Far Hope VA Moves Quick

Quick Update Was told that the VA has accepted the packet from the IPEB and is rating it time now. I was told they should have a rating by next week and then the PEB will generate the 199 and I will accept the findings.

Timeline Thus Far Hope VA Moves Quick

Thank you for the responses. I was wondering about the VA because the PEBLO here says that the VA has to make a decision within 10 days (working) on % with active duty once they receive the PEBs unfit decision. I am hoping with an unambiguous diagnoses that it should speed it up. But interesting...
