    VA Ratings

What was your outcome? I've been fighting since 2015....still no LOD...and I am continuing to fight as they process my package for iPEB.

Protest! State of Georgia routing all MEB cases through one office at one base! Is this illegal? Or just lazy? Wait times are incredibly delayed!

I have been in the process for 3 years now in Georgia....I went to the med stations and they literally have 2 full filing cabinets of people who require MED case decisions. Long, grueling process.

What does my high EPR rating have to do with me qualifying for a MEB

Thank you for the advice. I reached out to my supervisor and another airmen in the shop who can attest to my frequent absences.

What does my high EPR rating have to do with me qualifying for a MEB

I received a response from the AFBCMR for a claim I filed to be recalled to Active Duty for proper separation via MEB. Long story short, I separated directly into AF Reserve in which they coded me as unfit for duty within 6 months due to migraines. SO I received a package back from AFBCMR...

    Thoroughly Confused

The DOD rates you on conditions that prevent you from serving. So you have a 30% combined VA rating - but the DOD may only give you 10% for the depression if it is at a level that stops you from serving. If this is the only item and rating you receive from DOD, they will simply medically...

    Unbelievable

I am going through the same situation, except in the Air Force Reserve. This is sad and I feel like it's me against the Air Force Reserve. Makes no sense.

    LOD required for every injury?

Hi Modest13, What was the outcome in regards to the LODs for your active duty injuries? Did the Reserve grant them to you and back date the LOD? I am going through the same thing, but the reserve does not want to grant me LODs for injuries incurred during my Active Duty contract.

This seems to be an illegitimate explanation of LODs

I received this email today from my medical station that is processing my LOD appeal. This does not seem to be legitimate as I have NEVER heard of active duty medical record being considered "administrative LOD". It seems like they are trying to bypass me from going through an MEB and trying to...

Unsure on next steps to take when unjustifiably denied an LOD

I have been denied an LOD with the remarks of "Existed prior to Service - LOD N/A." However the DOD Instruction 1332.18 Prior service impairment covers this portion of my claim due to me being a prior service member. I have an extensive medical record during my active duty term where I...

Confused about my options / Med Ret - Med Sep

The doctor stated, "This happened while you were on active duty. Since you are now in reserve, it's a completely different route and the injuries did not occur in the line of duty." That made absolutely no sense to me.

Confused about my options / Med Ret - Med Sep

I received 30% for my migraines, which is currently going through an appeal process for a higher rating. The additional percentage is for back, hip, and knee injuries. All injuries occurred while on Active Duty. Here is the regulations/AFIs I found to back my claim. I'm stuck at who I can start...

Confused about my options / Med Ret - Med Sep

I am currently going through a world wide qualification medical evaluation through the Air Force reserve. I recently separated from Active Duty, Dec 2014, due to having debilitating migraines, but I separated early into the reserve so that I could still provide medical insurance for my family. I...
