    **TIME-SENSITIVE ?s** - OFFICIAL FINDINGS RECEIVED

Thanks, pittpan...you a Steeler fan, BTW? Or on Univ of Pitt Panthers? I'm a fan of both, even though I've never stepped a pinky toe in Pittsburgh...one day though...one day. Tried to convince my daughter to apply there, but no dice; she wasn't having it. If ONLY I had a son...I'd raise him...

    Finally went Historical.

May I ask your source on this? I trust you, it's not that, I just want to have that in my 'hip pocket', as it were, when I call to plead my case for a later date. I selected 10 Apr, as this was 90 days out, the longest allowed, but would love to be allowed to have that extra 20 days until 30...

    Finally went Historical.

Yep! It's official Unfit 10% PDRL as of 30 Dec 2016. I believe I received the PDRL based upon my 23 yrs Active Service, even though I only rated 10%. You hear anything yet???

    **TIME-SENSITIVE ?s** - OFFICIAL FINDINGS RECEIVED

I'll try to update my timeline soon, but wanted to post that I received my findings. As I already knew from receiving my VA Findings, I was rated 90% Overall from the VA. However, the DoD rated me as Unfit at 10% to be placed on the Permanent Disability Retirement List (PDRL). They rated my...

    Finally went Historical.

No, but mine changed drastically when they 'closed-out' my ratings, for lack of better term. They called me the day they were finishing my Ratings, as they told me they were doing so, but wanted to know if I wanted to claim a few other items that were not originally claimed. On THAT day, they...

    VA to PEB wait times?

Let's try this again...it didn't reply specifically to your post, so, sorry for the double post... A-5_Guy--thanks for the input. And yes, I an see how it would be upsetting--the flip-flopping of decisions about what' fitting and what's not, ultimately, if the Navy gets us to that 30% for...

    Potential Migraine Rating Inputs Requested

Per the VA, as I did manage to get my VA Ratings FAX'd to me two weeks ago, before I received official word from Navy (which I'm still waiting on, BTW), I did get 30% from the VA, which I'm content with, as I am now getting 2-3 prostrating Migraines that last anywhere from 2-5 days, on average...

    VA to PEB wait times?

A-5_Guy--thanks for the input. And yes, I an see how it would be upsetting--the flip-flopping of decisions about what' fitting and what's not, ultimately, if the Navy gets us to that 30% for Retirement, that's the important part, evn if it means what should be 40% ends up only being 30%. My...

    VA to PEB wait times?

How did you go about 'bumping' your 20% DOD to 30% DOD?? Any recommendations??? I'm worried I'm going to be facing something similar. I also found out the VA is recommending a 90% VA Rating, and is now back with PEB, and awaiting results. For DOD, I only went up for 1 condition, which the VA...

Almost done but have some questions.

I agree. The problem is, sometimes, the service member, as in my case, has scoured the Navy Regs, MILPERSMANs, etc., associated with my situation, and nothing clearly stipulates what will take place if the PEB comes back and finds me UNFIT, yet below the 30% threshold, which would usually mean...

Almost done but have some questions.

I have a related concern, now that I have my findings back. My referred condition actually was split into two conditions by the VA, 10% for each--mononeuritis lower-limb and inguinal neuropathy. They also list 30% Anxiety with adjustment disorder with depressed mood (which is a result of...

    My Timeline, to date. Questions.

I'm going to paste a portion of what I posted in response in another thread--saves my typing! "I called again today to ask about a form I was filling out, but asked the question "I was mailed some items on the 17th, and I received them on Monday, yet my Ratings, that were mailed before them...

HAH!!! You are Soooo right. I called again today to ask about a form I was filling out, but asked the question "I was mailed some items on the 17th, and I received them on Monday, yet my Ratings, that were mailed before them, haven't arrived yet. Can't I get a 2nd copy mailed to me?" to which...

    Finally went Historical.

Thanks, Cobra. I keep running into 'brickwall' every time I ask, but I think I'll call and officially request they either mail or Fax the proposed ratings, because I agree; this is about me and my family's financial situation, and I do not feel that info should be withheld for any reason...

    Finally went Historical.

Sounds like you are in a similar condition as I am. Did you receive any notification on what your ratings are? I just checked and I have a claim that is now in "Historical", and it says: Claim closed 16 Nov 16 - "The VA has sent a decision packet to you by U.S. mail. The packet includes...

    My Timeline, to date. Questions.

Update: Spoke with my VA MSC today, and he stated I had three conditions that were not originally claimed, and that a form was mailed out yesterday to me for m to fill out, scan, and send back to him OR upload directly to e-benefits. In this case, I want my MSC to have all my paperwork, so...

    My Timeline, to date. Questions.

So, I posted this in a different thread I started several months ago on a different page on this forum, but maybe better suited here to get some feedback. I'd appreciate any input, as I've heard nothing since the phone call on Monday: "OK, all, need a little help here. I'm extremely confused...

    My Timeline, to date. Questions.

That is what I was told by the Navy's personnel office--that if you are medically retired, that means you were involuntarily retired, thus you retire at the rank you hold at that time, and the 10 year requirement for commissioned service no longer applies.

    IPEB--2nd Go-around--Questions

OK, all, need a little help here. I'm extremely confused. Yesterday, I received a call from someone in the VA out of the blue, asking if I wanted to claim Tinnitus, because it wasn't on my original claim, but the audiologist who did my hearing test in my C&P Exam said I had Tinnitus, and he...

    My Timeline, to date. Questions.

I remember that time in my service when that 18 yr mark couldn't get here soon enough...now it's that 8 years commissioned service I'm wanting to reach if this becomes an UNFIT finding!
