Sorry for the delayed response... my asthma was considered unfitting but only because they combined it with the diagnoses of constrictive bronchiolitus. The 60% was both VA and DoD.

All I was on on 4 inhalers and 30 mg of prednisone (oral steroid) and the board still only game me 60% after an appeal.

I received the VARR results. I got a small increase but not exactly what I was hoping for. 60% DOD and 60% VA PDRL. I hope you get your results soon.

Hi all, I received a call today with a new C&P exam scheduled for Thursday. I have submitted a VARR on mar 1 for an unfitting pulmonary condition. The C&P is for my eyes which I received a 0% rating for. Has anyone heard of this happening before? Should I expect more exams?

I got rated at 0% because mine is under control with daily medications.

Are you Air Force? My PEB only took a week the first time around. Hopefully it will be the same this time.

I am at MacDill. In total my case took a month from when it was sent to the IPEB and yes, a week at VA and a week back at PEB. I only had 7 claims, three of which are pulmonary, not sure if that helped it go quick. I have stalled now with the VARR, but at least I know I am getting out soon.

You can see my timeline in my signature, however my case seemed to go very fast compared to others. Hope this helps.

I only had 7, that's why mine went so fast I think.
