Unfortunately it is a pain-staking long process with little information sent your way. I'm still in the PEB process (136 days as of today). I would guess that, if found unfit, you will be notified on or around April 10th.

Did anyone actually get the proposed ratings letter from the VA. I didn't. I called the VA today and was told that they weren't going to send it.

And I'm a week after you so I will be following as well.

DTM-18-004 dtd 30 Jul 2018 - Complete PEB process in no more than 102 days starting on the date the MEB forwards the complete MEB case file and ending on the date the Military Department approves the final results of the disposition decision. I'm on day 124.

Called the PEB. They told me they no longer release information (which I knew - tried for fun). I asked how long after they get the proposed ratings will I be notified. 2-3 Months. Yep. Months.

Day 201 since MEB referral... my case has perfectly blended in with its surroundings. No doctor seems the wiser.

Still great to hear. I hope you got the ratings you wanted.

On the plus side - your package went to the PEB a month after mine and your VA case was closed a week before mine.

As I understand it, if you are retiring, they will factor in both PTAD and terminal leave. I'm sure that you still have to submit for both in MOL since you have the option of 1: not taking it and 2: selling back leave.

Like everything else, it should take 30-45 weeks to complete.

I wish it was two weeks. I talked to the PEB awhile back and they said they take 30-45 days to process it after they get it back from the VA.

You know what's crazy, the VA says they send a letter and the information will be available on eBenefits but neither seems to be true. I called a friend who works in the VA and they were able to tell me my proposed ratings so its in the system. Somewhere.

The timelines they initially tell you are garbage. My package was accepted by the PEB on August 2nd and I'm still not done (though I am past the VA portion).

New Update! 15 Nov - VA claim closed on VA.gov. Should be going back to the PEB for the last step.

At this point, I am doubling the estimated time that they quote. PEB is supposed to be 90-120 day. Really means 6-8 months.

Is that with or without terminal leave?

The way I understand it, once you accept an unfit finding, you are no longer eligible for promotion.
